Remarks :
As being a JEE aspirant, I was failed to score well to get into top IIT's and NIT's and so I decided to move into a private engineering college and I chose this campus as it is a very reputed college and has a remarkable record of 100% placement and education system is very good. Basically in the starting month of June 2019 I have got admission, the procedure was quite simple, We had only a counseling round and on this basis, we have got our streams, and it is very transparent. I have read reviews on college Dunia, Shiksha of this college before going there and also visited before to get early insights of this college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
In my opinion, the course curriculum is a bit tiring and has various sessionals and formative assessments, but it will help you to increase and boost the amount of knowledge of that particular subject. You will be having 3 STs, 3-4 FA's, and 1 ETE per subject in a semester.But don't be afraid as marks are going to be considered of only the best 2 ST's and 3 FA's. You will be getting 1-1:30 hrs time for the writing examination and ETE it will be 3 hours. Exams will be at a moderate level, if you have attended classes of the subject then you might be able to get decent marks in exams. When it comes to teaching staff, they are very good, for Coding subject, you will be having 1 Teacher and his assistant. And for other subjects, you will be having tute classes. The faculty is very qualified, completed their degree from very good IITs, NIt's and some of them have also published research papers. They are very helpful to you, please don't hesitate to ask any questions in the class. So that is my review for teaching on our campus.
Placement Experience :
Now the most important part which every candidate want to know , placements , like many MNCs like(TCS , Wipro ,Amazon,Adobe ,Oracle ,Techmahindra , Deloitte ) and other startups have visited and packed huge amount of candidates. as chitkara is also giving 100% placement guarrantee . The highest package till now is 35 lakh of amazon ,and many of the students has got 10+ lakh dream jobs offer . If you are willing to do something then it is the best place for you. After 5th semester you are eligible for campus placements and internships . Major profile is for Web developement , android development roles as they are at very high stakes . You can get chance to do some interesting internships in college period , if you do well you will definately get hired. Just focus on DSA , problem Solving skills and Concepts .
Fee Structure And Facilities :
When it comes to fees it is defined as follows- 80000/-semester , 55000/- for hostel per semester , 25000-/ for transport charges , 8000/- dress charges In our college right now there is no scholarship , however it might be looking expensive for you guys but in the end it will we be very fruitful for you.
Campus Life :
Now after all the school's chaos, you are entering into a new dome, for new opportunities, new friends, and experiences. In my opinion, it can be the happiestthe phase of your bachelor's life. Our college is a 70+ acre campus and has various buildings for our students and, air-conditioned classes, neat and clean labs, well-lit rooms and maintained parks, 24 hours free wifi and clean water. now coming to clubs, Our college is having technical, social, literallyis, language, Enterprenusrhip clubs, major clubs are like GDSC Chitkara, IEEE Student, E-CEll, ACM Student Chapter, Bits N Bytes, C2S2 , Mechbots and other clubs. They will organise various fun events , coding events , hackathons and many more surprises. You will get an all round package . In entertainment We have suuburns , DJ nights , and live performances . Recently Varun Dhawan , Shradha , raghav Jual has visited our university . SIngers like Neha Kakkar , Ranjit Bawa has also done performances. We have Square 1 , Circle 1 as food court where various famous brands like Lapinoz , Chhayos , burgrill have their outlets at nominal prices.We have a huge sportorium with a badminton court , volleyball court , basketball court , tennis court and hockey court for sports freak. And Apart from it we have huge auditorium for live theatres , concovatuons and other things. And A Gym is also here with the latest types of equipment and trainer for the maintenance of your physical health.
Hostel Facilities :
I you are going fot hostel then we have a three seater option Non- Ac , three seater- Ac , 4 seater Non- Ac and ac rooms , We have seperate hostels for girls and boys . Room is spacious , for storage almirah , and desk, table and boxing bed is there . In Non-Ac rooms cooler is also there,but if you are opting for hostel it is mandatory to have you laundry , but mess is optional . Each hostel has 1 senior warden and 2 assistant wardens , after 9 om you can't enter or exit in hostel except in SOS cases , We have security cameras installed at each floor and OTG , microwave ,TV, iron table are at alternating floors . You will be getting 24 hours wifi , electricity and water (but in winters there will be some timmings for warm water). The Mess is very good , if you are opting for it , it will cost you `14000/- per semester , including 4 meals , breafast , lunch , snacks , dinner . a fixed menu is decided for a week and potion size is unlimited . So it is our hostel.
Admission :
I have explained earlier that in the starting month of June you will be getting the form to fill for the campus, then they will call you for counseling round in Chandigarh for further admission process, you have to get the demand draft or cash with you at the time of payment. When you reach there you will have to wait for your chance as it is based on JEE Percentile, so there will be batches like 90-100 percentile, 70-80 percentile like that, Then you have to go to the interview round where you have to submit your documents like (12th Marksheet, aadhar card, domicile, health certificate, JEE admit card, Jee score card, passport size photographs ). It will be a tiring process as it can take up to 5-6 hours but you will get your admission, that is for sure. The test is only JEE Mains Scorecard + 60% above in XII class. No more requirements.
