Remarks

West Bengal native gets much easier to have this college and admission can be taken through JEE and WBJEE scores. West Bengal native also gets much reduction in fees. The placement in the college is good for CSE and IT.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose the course because of the interest and high demand. Professors are well qualified. Exams were taken frequently as the university takes 4 internals and 1 end sem exam. The marking system is also very tough as many gets backlog as well as year lag.

Placement Experience

Companies like TCS, Amazon, Microsoft, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, and many other mass recruiters come for placements but this is mostly for CSE, IT, ECE students. Most 90% of CSE students get placed with an average package of 5 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fess is like: 70 thousand in the first semester, 65 thousand in the 2nd semester and after that each semester has a fee of 56500 as per the 2019-23 batch. Some scholarships are available although it is not for students from other states except WB.

Campus Life

Annual and tech fests are also organised. A central library with many books and less space is there. Classroom for seniors are equipped with air condition but juniors have only fans. Some groups are CIIC, Samaritans, Geekoniks, etc.

Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. The students can apply for internship via Career Development Centre in the beginning of their pre final Year. they can go for off campus intern whenever they want. Most of the goo companies would come and mostly for software finance consulting etc. The placements start in the second last semester as far as i know. The competition for placement is getting really high these days

Course Curriculum Overview:

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

Placement Experience:

Students generally start getting their pre-placement offers from their 3rd year after completion of their internships other students gets their placement too in their final year. Starting from Apple to Google and Microsoft too hired some of our senior but the number of the students get placed in those tech giant companies is very less but there are mass recruiters too like TCS infosys PW chaitanya education TATA steel BHARAT petroleum and many other companies the offers are made based upon the eligibility of the students and the packages are decided based on the skillset and experience of the students . Highest package was 70 LPA this year and the average packages are also pretty good based upom the companies and their offers it ranges from 15-30 LPA .Almost 80-83% students gets placed but it depends on the branch of the students and their skillsets.I want to sit for GATE exam after completion of my BTech and want to persue MTech

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university is MAKAUT so the curriculum is up to the mark. I liked Programming so I chose B.TECH in CSE. The curriculum is very basic in terms of practical world problem though they are building blocks, but you need to do the extra bit of work to qualify for the real world scenarios. I think more mandatory projects integrated with current set of skills would be a cherry on top. Exams are very frequent like every 3-4 months there is a semester exam and they are moderately difficult.

Remarks:

Placement for IT streams is very good but not good for the core stream. Infrastructure and campus beauty are very good. Faculty are average. Canteens are slightly costly but foods are ok. Hostel and Transport facilities are available.
