EEC Review- Chennai

Remarks :

I completed my diploma so I just fill the form in Anna university via government quota. I got counseling in karaikudi. After that, I came to karaikudi and I chose Easwari engineering college, then I came to EEC for admission. In that same, they discuss fees details and joining date. The fees structure totally different as they said in counseling. After 10 days I joined my course.

Course Curriculum Overview :

In my diploma, I studied Computer technology so I have knowledge about software field but I don't have knowledge about hardware field that's why I chose Electronics and communication engineering (ECE) in Engineering. Many faculty members are so friendly if we have any doubt they teach me anytime. I like my faculty members so much. Every topic they spend more time explaining. All faculty members are well knowledgeable about our own subject. Female staff well taught when compared to male staff. At the end of every single period, they ask questions about the explained topic. We have a daily class test in the morning from 8 to 9 am (every day one subject). The staff gives some topics at the end of the day. We prepare the same and do a test on next day. Monthly twice we have a cycle test it covers 1 to 2 units. If we prepare well, it is easy to pass the exam.

Placement Experience :

In the middle of the final year, the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies are TCS, CTS, HGS, HCL, Sutherland, Amazon, Justdial etc., the average no of offers 100 to 150 ( overall department) The highest package is around 25000 to 40000 and the average package is around 10000 to 18000. Above 6.5 CGPA, the students are eligible for getting placed. After the degree, some of the students going for work and remaining are going to do higher studies.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Every year, we will pay fees twice. The fees may vary between government quota and direct admission. In government quota, the fees range between 90000 to 110000. For direct admission, the fees range between 115000 to 250000 based upon marks. They don't provide scholarships for all the students. Randomly select and give those people. Many BPO companies are coming to the campus. The selection process is difficult for core and IT companies.

Campus Life :

In the middle of every year, they conduct symposium for going to pass out students. They provide holidays for any celebration. All kinds of books, novels and journals are available in the library, it is a very nice place. If we go to the library, the mind will be refreshed somewhat piece of mind. The classroom was large and benches were also available, it is very comfortable to sit for the whole day. Certain sports places are available if we want will play at a comfortable time. The auditorium was so large, important updates are announced in the auditorium. Infrastructure was so good, we have many places to study.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements start in the 7th semester. Due to the recession, there is a lot of backlash when it comes to placements. It has been quite poor for the last few years. But it depends on how the student is prepared for the competitive world.

Placement Experience:

Placement is good for the CSE and IT departments. You can't expect placement if you belong to other departments, there is a placement for the other departments but very less. Campus placement starts in 3rd year itself. They have special classes for Aptitude skills and interview preparation GD and necessary preparations for job placement opportunities. 90% of students from CSE and IT get placed. The average package is 7.5 LPA you can expect a minimum of 3.5 LPA. If you are willing to go for higher studies you can contact the international relation office they have good relations with other universities abroad, they have students exchange programs, research scholarships etc if you are not planning to seat in placement. I plan for higher studies and research after my Btech.

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college is very good and top companies hire students across every branch with a good amount of package. At the end of 3rd year every student is elegible for the placements in college. About 20 to 25 companies visited for campus hiring and approximately 700 offers were given across the college from every branch. 60 percentage of students got placed in the campus hiring program. Highest package is 24 LPA and the aveyis 5LPA. My plan is to get into a good MNC company which is related to Aerospace technology.
