Remarks
The admission process was pretty simple and easy to navigate, all you need to do is keep a lookout for the right dates on the college website. The admission staff is also pretty helpful with the admission process.
Course Curriculum Overview
Since this is a 3-year course, there are 6 semesters overall (2 per year). Each semester has 2 unit tests and 1 end-semester exam. The exams are good enough to score decent marks provided you are regular at revising your syllabus daily, completing your projects on time, and paying attention during lectures.
Placement Experience
Placements are mostly available for students with BMS, BMM, and BSc IT degrees. However, students from other streams also receive placements provided they satisfy the criteria and have the required experience as mentioned.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for BSc are very subsidized since this is a government-aided program. For students who cannot afford the fees for the program, the college has a Student Beneficiary Fund which you can apply for providing you have scored a certain cut-off percentage in your 12th grade or previous year as applicable.
Campus Life
St. Xavier's College is popular for its annual collegiate fest 'Malhar' which is a different experience in itself. Besides Malhar, there are several other fests conducted by different departments and cultural societies like Janfest (by Indian Music Group), Aamod (by the Marathi Mandal), and several others. There are also several clubs and societies each run by their own department like the Physics Department, Zoology Department, Maths Department, Chemistry Department, etc.
