Remarks :
College has good staff and the way of teaching but it has a very small campus and students have to attend college even when they are supposed to be on holiday.
Entrance Preview :
I took JEE as it was essential for engineering. I scored 24 marks in it but they also measure our board percentage which I had 70% so I got admission. I chose IT engineering because of my interest in it. I chose this college because it was the best option for my score.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course structure is good enough to get enough knowledge over time. Everything happens very fast because of constant examinations so you have to keep flowing with the flow but it is the need of time. Syllabus is vast and time is always less and there are exams every month. There are 6 class tests for each subject in a semester apart from the main exams.Teachers have good interaction with students and we often get video and guest lectures too. Teaching method is topic wise and question-answer method too. We have 60 students in out class. We visit companies once or twice a year. Course curriculum was pretty useful.
Internships Opportunities :
College gives internship for top students. Top five or top 10 students get 50,000 rupees as internship. I haven't been one of them but I have seen it on noticeboards of college. Student getting scholarship are happy with it. College approves getting government scholarship to the cast students but if the student fail in more than 2 subjects and cant pass them in next try, they have to fill all the fees.
Placement Experience :
Well, placement for JSCOE is not a big concern but it's not something one could take granted either. Averagely every student getting more than 60% gets salary between 2 to 4 lakhs per year through campus in companies like TCS, Infosys etc. College also have better record off campus, the highest achievement this year was 38 lakhs for one student off campus, so if you have potential, you don't have to worry about placement. Lowest offered payment is Rs.1,20,000. TCS - 2 to 4 lakhs/a, InfoTech - 1 to 3.5 lakhs/a, Infosys - 1 to 3.5 lakhs/a, KPIT cummins - 2 to 6 lakhs/a
College Events :
There are sports event every year for cricket, football etc. Also you can participate for games in other colleges. 1. Antarnad - It's held every year and it's a very big event on arts. It has drama, dance etc. 2. Annual gathering - Annual college event having different sports and performances. They also bring local celebrities here.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
College demands 1,10,000 rupees for engineering per year for open category. It is slightly expensive but other colleges too ask nearly same. You can fill the fees in parts but you have to fill at least half the fees before first main exam or you don't get the original hall ticket and you have to get permission for sitting in every exam.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I don't recall any loan facility by college. All you have are government policies but college gives scholarship to toppers upto Rs. 50,000.
Campus Life :
College campus is not very big but it is sufficient enough to learn. Girls are more than boys in our IT department. Labs are good and open for work. There are sports event every year for cricket, football etc. Also you can participate for games in other colleges. Other competitions are held outside of colleges, i.e. in other colleges. College have good economic status and does fair expense over time.
Hostel Facilities :
College does not have boys hostel but it has girls hostel. I heard it's pretty good and have good services. They have hostel for girls with two seater and three seater rooms, internet means wifi facility, indoor and outdoor games, medical facility etc.
Alumni/Alumna :
Seniors are really great and helpful with the problems of juniors. They also organize the events for juniors. They guide juniors to take good decisions.
Exam Structure :
Labs are providing facilities enough to work. They are not very high technology but they have fast internet access and clean surrounding. You have to perform your tasks before leaving the lab. Exams are mostly strict and fair. You have to study well or you fail.
Faculty :
Teachers are mostly qualified and good at what they do. They are really helpful at most times and most of them share their extra knowledge with students. You can have problems with them sometimes but in the end of the day, they treat you like family. Teachers have good interaction with students and we often get video and guest lectures too. Teaching method is topic wise and question-answer method too. We have 60 students in out class. We visit companies once or twice a year. Course curriculum was pretty useful.
