I gave CET exam nd scored 150 marks. As i want to study in mumbai and VJIT is a reputant college ,hence i opted for this college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
There are almost 40 theory subjects in 8 semesters and nearly 30 labs in first year all the branches have the same number of subjects. And from 2nd year actual branch wise subjects are there, from 3rd year electives are given,according to the preferences ,no of electives are given for the choice. In 4th year 8 credits are for project work and 4 labs and 5 theory subjects with one elective included in it.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes it provides, Manufacturing, Software/IT services and Products, Automobile, Public sector, Banking, Defence organisations, Consulting firms, Multinational companies etc. Salary Packages range from INR 2.5 lakhs to 50 lakhs based on the type of the company.
Placement Experience :
The top companies in terms of brand name,job profiles and compensation offered are Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley, Amazon, Samsung, Microsoft, VISA, SAP, Oracle, Citi Bank, Barclays, Bank of America and many more. The Big 4 firms too visit VJTI for placements. The Indian IT companies and the 'mass recruiters' also sneak in but this time they came with a different profile and 'better' pay package(read around 6 lpa).
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The Alumni association of VJTI gives complete scholarship to the needy children. Loan facilities are provided in coordination with the SBI in our campus.
Exam Structure :
VJTI conducts examination in semester pattern. It has a very good system of examination managed by Controller of Examination. The best part of VJTI Examination is their Exam Time Table, Result daclaration and Re-examination followed by results of Re-examination. Exams are schedule on alternate days which consumes less than two weeks. Unlike other universities whose exam continues for more than a week.
Faculty :
As one of the premier institutes in India, VJTI receives substantial research grants. The grants are awarded based on the research proposals made to the funding agencies by faculty. Some of the external funding agencies are BARC/ DAE for BRNS projects, AICTE for RPS grant and MPCB for environmental engineering.
