Remarks :

Colleges I had applied to were OCP, GIP, Sterling and VESCOP and many more through online mode and I was been alloted GIP on second merit list. Then my aunt who lives in Chembur asked me to apply to colleges offline too and her first priority was VESCOP as it is a very well reputed college with good placements. So I applied for the same. Luckily I got admission in that course through management quota. Minimum criteria for admission was HSC passed and MHCET cleared with a certain cutoff marks which was far lower than the online mode. Minimum MHCET marks when applying online were over 110 but on offline mode it got as low as 80. So I got eligible for the same. The admission process was simple. I had to provide all the original documents to the college and they had some papers and other formalities like payment of fees, etc. After alI that, I was given my admission form which was a assurity that I have been admitted to the college. Offline mode was conducted month after college was started.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose this course as I realized it had a scope in the future and also I had interest in studying medicine and how they work on body. Faculty in VESCOP is really well qualified and knowledgeable and the teachers they care about their students. Their teaching method is also quite well effective and easy to understand (not everyone though) and try to explain every concept. Mid sessional exams in VESCOP were quite harder than that of the other colleges which is a good thing for the students as they had to study beforehand to pass in mid sem exams and had a less amount of pressure in end semester exams. The exams were held at quite the right time with sufficient time for students to study and remember the concepts studied with preparatory leaves before exams.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees are moderately high considering the amenities offered in the college. Sports room lack sports equipment, some of the ACs and projectors had a malfunction. Though the college had many scholarships and financial aids to the needy students.

Campus Life :

Very nice and lively events with many events occurring throughout the event period. The best time of the year is undoubtedly the even semester as the events are conducted during this time like RX, Spectrum which has a variety of co-curricular and extracurricular activities and interesting one day events which is very fruitful for a student to expose to other students and make contacts. Also, the certificate is provided for every event which adds to your CV. Many organizations like IPA, PHO, Rotaract, and other communities are open for students which organize many events and campaigns to boost a student's management and coping skills and also help society.

Other Applied Colleges

Gahlot institute of Pharmacy, Koparkhairane | B Pharmacy

I got VESCOP which was a better option

Students get eligible for campus selection from the third year i.e from the 6th semester onwards. Every year around 7-8 pharmaceutical companies visit our campus among them Cipla, zydus cadella, and sun pharma are major package offering companies. The minimum average package is 2 lakh/year. The highest is between 4-5 lakh.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this field because I am interested in the pharmaceutical industries and Pharmaceutical field. There are about 4 to 5 teachers for 120 students in one class. All teachers have completed their M.Pharm and some of them having five and more than five years of experience and some teachers are new to the profession of teaching. Some teachers are very good at teaching but some teachers are not that well. We have to give a semester exam every eight month and each semester consists of 5 to 6 subjects and questions are pretty much hard.
