Entrance Preview :

I gave JEE mains and got 63, opted this college due to its reputation and being located in my city durgapur.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Courses are well balanced as they approach every details systematically providing all necessary ideas in order to grasp every data which could later be understood quite easily to even self study. Moreover there are various fields or research during summer or winter vacations, which can be attained to gain both knowledge and experience.

Internships Opportunities :

No, i don't have clear idea about the internships so provided. But there are many such schemes available for deserving students and they are equally benefited by these experiences.

Placement Experience :

Placements and jobs are quite wide with different companies like-Analytics Quotient, Ashok Leyland, Avanti Learning, Belzabar, Blue Star, BPCL, C-Dot, Call Health Services, Coal India, Concept Education, D. E. Shaw, Drishti Software, Dynamic Digital, Elegant(Fleet), Emami, durance(Directi), Ericsson.

College Events :

Many festivals are celebrated like diwali, holi. Many events are held like annual sports, quizzes, talent hunt competitions. Many fests are organised too like arohan,rescasty. Apart from these many clubs are there who organise there own fests.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure is average as it is made by govt. with many offers for SC/ST and OBC students. They also offer fee waivers for students based on there family income following are detailed waivers given in college-100% Tuition Fee waiver for SC/ST/PH students. Full remission of the Tuition Fee for General & OBC students whose family income is less than Rs.1 lakh per annum.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I do not have any idea on loans or scholarships but being under govt college many scholarships are provided to those deserving like the ones having less annual incomes or those who have excelled in their academic fields.

Admission :

It had two steps, first we need to go to lock our choice on which we got seat or we want to slide to diff choices if available. Once having finalised we need to follow the college procedure to fill necessary forms ,allocate hostel rooms pay fees and then you are done with everything.

The most honest and unbiased review of IIEST Shibpur

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

From seventh semester the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies visited are like TCS, Cognizant, infosys, mindtree and many others. The avg pkg is 6 lpa and highest is 12 lpa. 90 percent students gets placed.

Overall only one thing is important is about hardwork with smart work . You have to work on your skills rest college is there to help you to show the path from your college to carrier .

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

Remarks:

One of the good colleges.

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
