Entrance Preview :

I gave my general 12 Std Board Exams through the CBSE board, scored 96% and thereby got myself into LSR. I opted for LSR because I wanted to study and I knew this college was serious about regular classes, faculty spent time on meaningful teaching methods and gave a lot of exposure to the students.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I am very happy with my course structure, though it is very Marx oriented. Actually the structure is not that well defined, for subjects like Indian History, the division of the topics in the semesters is such that sometimes it is very odd. The most amazing paper by far would be Russian History. The format of this subject is the most well defined one and has all the interesting and worth knowing elements of USSR.

Internships Opportunities :

I do not know if the college itself provides internships, but we getting emails from different companies through our college authorities, who want interns. Sometimes there is the provision of stipend with the same and sometimes not.

College Events :

The list would be endless. But the biggest ones are the department fests organised by every course once a year, followed by the different meets of the various societies where people come from all over India to participate. The Diwali Mela and the college fest - Tarang are the biggest attractions by far.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure at my college is very feasible. Its almost around 12-13,000 a year, which is nothing in comparison to college fee today. Its different for different courses, but still its never very high. Especially with the infrastructure and the beautiful gardens which we are provided with.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I am not sure of this one, since i have not availed any. But there are constant notices on various boards seeking applications and awarding scholarships to students.

Alumni/Alumna :

The alumni network at LSR is very strong. We keep having events with different batches and also talks by the same. On most thursdays we have our alumni putting up stalls in accordance with where they are working or if they are good at making and selling something.

Admission :

The cut offs were released, I made it through the first list itself. At the college grounds, they firstly checked if we made the cut off and after that we were to submit our papers and formally enrol ourselves in the college. There were different tables at the grounds, at one we would submit our papers, at one they would check our documents and at the last one we submitted the money requirements.

Faculty :

My faculty is sometimes very left oriented and marxist. But besides that I love the faculty. Every professor is super passionate about the subject they are teaching and make the best efforts to help us comprehend everything in a better manner. They are so well read about the topics and also in general , that they form the best aspect of college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The IGNOU course curriculum is comprehensive and relevant, especially for distance and open learning. Studying with IGNOU course can help in clearing your basics as well as detailed understanding of the topics. It is useful in preperation of government exams as well. The exams are conducted each year or every 6 months for different types of courses so the time to study and prepare is enough.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like my course because from the beginning I had to study Political Science under Bachelor of Arts. Also, this course is taught very well in the college but if some changes are made in it like language and selection of the right professor then it will be even better. Also, the exams in the college are held on time but the difficulty level is also different.

Remarks:

The environment of the college speaks for itself. The student body is one of its kind and the college management is satisfactory.

Admission:

The cut offs are generated after you have registered with DU. The process is a smooth process and less time consuming. Once your documents are verified you will be admitted to the college on that day itself. There is a gap of 45 days from the registration date to the date when the first cut off is released.

The job placements are very good at our College. Alumni batch of the college provides seminars for students every year in order to make children understand that why marks are less important than Knowledge. The exposure they provide to children so that they earn knowledge.

Remarks:

Our college had good staff members and very friendly and helpful alumni. the only exception is hostel facility due to which students have to struggle outside with cheap quality of food and residence. otherwise, everything is proper and suitable.
