Remarks :
BITS was ranked as one of the top four best B schools in India. It has a very high reputation among Indian Universities. SO this was reason enough for me to pursue MBA at BITS. The eligibility for the course was B.Tech/ B. E or masters in any disciplines. CAT/GMAT scores were used for shortlisting. The registration cost was 2750 rupees.
Course Curriculum Overview :
MBA at BITS is a 2 year on campus program. The course is divided into three semesters, and gave us an exposure to the industry through a six month internship. The faculty at our university was highly qualified and have doctoral degrees. They were also very supportive and helped us through each and every step of the course. The faculty student ratio is 10:1. The syllabus gave importance to experimental learning.
Placement Experience :
Adithya Birla Group, Adobe, Amazon are among the major recruiters. The campus placements are organized by the placement cell. We were given classes and advices on how to prepare for the placements. The placement percentage at BITS was around 90%. And the highest CTC offered was 25 LAP and the average was 7 lpa .
Fee Structure And Facilities :
MBA students at BITS are given opportunities as teaching assistants. The students selected are given a chance to work with the teachers. This can be considered as a campus job, and this is paid. They also provide scholarships based on the academic performance of the students. And this scholarship includes fee waiver.
Campus Life :
BITS has highly advanced infrastructure. The motto of our institution is to provide the students with the best education possible. So we had everything from library, computer lab, gym and reading/study rooms. Many events and competitions were also conducted. The engineering departments also conduct tech fests occasionally.
Hostel Facilities :
Both hostel facilities and PG facilities are available. I would say that Hostels are much cheaper because the rooms are shared. The rooms are all well-furnished. The registration is conducted during the course admission. We also had a mess and cafeteria. Both provided good quality food.
