Aeronautical Engineering PCE

Remarks :

One out of two colleges in Maharashtra for aeronautical Engineering. This college was on more urban side so I chose this. Bad part is no placements are there in core aeronautical companies. You have to be on your own for last two years of your college. No labs are available for practices when complained all they give you is some wisdom but no labs. Good part is some events, some teachers really try hard for students. No support from management. FAeronautical dept of Priyadarshini College is in kind of isolation(p. S I was few of active student of my branch)

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course as I always wanted to pursue aeronautical Engineering but was not ready to move out of maharashtra. Faculty to student is 10:1. But faculty keeps changing in midterm. Sometimes we need to manage with faculty from mechanical department who doesn't have much idea about our branch, which leads to compromising with course structure.

Internships Opportunities :

I was summer research fellow in IIT madrasSummer research intern at CSIRBoth of above internship was applied by me on personal basis. Yes I would say it has some contribution of my teachers as well.

Placement Experience :

We were promised about the placement. In our final year we kept taking follow up from teachers for placement but no use no single company visited a campus. Admin department take no responsibility for bringing campus for Aero department. All previous campus was brought by teachers only. Most of student then left with either switching to IT or be jobless. (P. S its a somewhat same situation for mechanical department as well)TBH college doesn't care about students future unless and until they are getting their admissions. All big banners for placements in Amazon and Wipro most of the time those placements is for BPO. I always maintained good scores in exams was active participant in every activity. Did my fellowship from IIT madras, did courses of designing and simulation to make myself ready for the job but at the end not a single company came so ultimately it had no use. Well i still want to be in this field so I have decided to pursue masters.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Yearly fees. Cast base and EBC scholarships are available which are funded from state government. It's a private college so it doesn't have his own funding. No financial assistance or campus jobs.

Campus Life :

Infrastructure is good. I loved the library. But again no much books are available for aeronautical branch, hardly a small shelf. We had common projector for all three years.During our time we started our depts own fest VAIMANIKA. Then there is really good annual sport and cultural fest named ashwamedh. Consist of 7days competition followed by two cultural nights. In campus there are individual fest of each departments. Also there are various club like Rotaract, women development cell, literature club etc.

Hostel Facilities :

Seasonal air conditioning, common toilets and bathroom( those were clean and tbh I loved common one than separate it has its own benefit, bathrooms were cleaned twice a day), beds and cupboards (idk should I call it cupboard or not, you must see it for yourself), hot water 24ÌÑ7, common kitchen( it's a room with induction and some utensils). Mess serves really good food. Mess employees are really warm and nice so do other staff. It feels like home after few months

Admission :

No. Admission was based on CET ranking, based on MHCET score. Followed by provisional admission. Some people can take admission via donation, on basis of seat availability. Cutoff is very low so it's too easy get admission. No other test and interviews were there.

Placement Experience:

Talking about placements, most of the placements occurs in CSE and IT branch, but surprisingly in the Government College of Engineering Aurangabad, the Mechanical branch has the same placements comparatively just the fact is that the package is less.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As every Diploma passing student enters to degree college same process I went through. The faculty of the college are well educated and hardworking. As a student, you have to reach out to your faculty and maintain a good relation with them to get constant support from them. the ratio is 25:1. The teaching method of professors is very professional. Exams are as per the government regulations and the difficulty level is moderate for general students.

Placement Experience:

Students are encouraged to take internships from the moment they are confident and can handle responsibility. They are eligible for placements after semester 4. Approximately 60+ companies visit the campus every year and they take an average of 4-5 offers. For instance, the highest package can be 40+lpa from Microsoft. 90-100% placements happen every year. My plan after getting the degree is to acquire a placement and work with the organization.

The college Bajaj Institute of Technology, Wardha is very reputed college as it is Shiksha Mandal's college. I saw many advertisement about this college throughout the year and that's why choose to take admission in it.

Placement Experience:

Till now no company has visited. 2 students are selected and that is with their own efforts. Not having any job referral because hardly few students are placed. In startup one group won the hackathon and I guess they are doing their startup thing

Remarks:

Positive are all mentioned throughout the form Also to mention they really keep the college clean and many trees around the institute which gives nice vibes. Negative can be attendance issue which is actually not enforced by institute but by Mumbai University to which we are affiliated
