Remarks :

I applied for the course of PG Diploma Fashion Business online. I enrolled myself for a competitive entrance exam. The exam included a written round and an interview round. While taking the interview, the examiner was doing the counseling if the course and our goals are meeting or not.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I wanted to pursue PG in fashion marketing. In the school of business the faculty:student ration is 1:20. The faculties are excellent in Pearl and they maintain modern and traditional teaching methods. They learn before teaching us. And it's also quite visible through their industry experience. Two semesters in a year and the jury is a bit hard to pass. You need to really prepared for juries.

Placement Experience :

Students are eligible for campus placements from the 3rd semester. Aditya Birla, V-Mart, V2 Retail, etc are some of the companies who keep offering job opportunities. Highest package- 35k Average- 25k 80% of students get placed I started working right after my degree.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees at Pearl are higher of course but the faculty is great. The average stipend from internships you get in Pearl is Rs. 10k. The job you get at the campus is not good. You have to use your own connections to get a decent job.

Campus Life :

For fashion business students VM competition is held. The theme keeps changing. They also celebrate all the festivals and students participate and conduct small stalls to sell their handmade products. The library has an end number of books and magazines but the MUST library fees are quite high even though you use it or not. Pearl classes are fully furnished and the amenities like AC, Projector, Board are up to the mark. There are many clubs and social groups to join for a student as per his/her likeness.

Placement Experience:

The placement is good (can do better) in the college. The students become eligible for internships and getting placed in after completing the last semester. The students get placed in various well-known companies which are H&M, Clavin Klein, Pepperfry, Sabyasachi, Tommy Hilfiger etc. The highest package is 6.25 LPA and the average is package is 4 LPA approx. 40%-50% of students get placement from college. I am very grateful to this college for giving me a chance to sharpen my skills in the fashion design field, and my plans after this course are to get placed in these companies to get some real-life experience.

I took their private entrance exam. Score was not mentioned in the result card but i did make it. Then came the GD and PII wanted to do my pg from either nift or pg. I couldn't clear nift exams and was left with pearl.

Placement Experience:

My internships and my job was all found by myself and so i do not accredit the college for that. They do not commit themselves in finding a job for their students. After having spent half a fortune in my pg this disturbed me .If you are confident enough you will find a job yourself.
