Remarks :
For all the DU Aspirants, the admission process is pretty easygoing. Once the cut-off list releases, and if you are eligible for that particular cut-off and college, then you get a time period of 48 hours to claim your seat. You're required to submit a few significant documents like Identity proofs, 12th Marksheet, etc. for your admission. Once they are successfully submitted at the college, you'll be required to deposit the fee, within 24 hours you'll get the acknowledgment slip. With every cut-off, I applied to quite a few colleges Gargi, Indraprasth, Kirori Mal, Kamala Nehru but in the end, I ended up taking Sri Venkateswara College.
Course Curriculum Overview :
If you're looking for a typical academical environment, in terms of the curriculum then this department and college is not an ideal place for you. The faculty is quite knowledgeable, considerate, and helpful but you won't have regular classes, assignments, or research-oriented work.
Internships Opportunities :
Since its DU, several big names have come across in terms of internships in all fields volunteering, community service, paid, unpaid skilled internships for example Deloitte, EY, Collegedunia, Zomato, Flipkart, Accenture, BYJUs, etc. And if given a work-from-home opportunity, internships are manageable with the academic curriculum.
Placement Experience :
For Bachelor in Arts, the placement opportunities are meager. Though the college's Placement Cell is quite active, you'll be regularly pinged with internships and other opportunities. However, when it comes to the job aspect, majorly the good offers and packages are restricted to Commerce courses.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
As DU is affiliated with the Central Govt of India, the fee structure is quite decent. You have to pay an annual fee, that is three times for three years. Even if there is a fee hike it just adds up to INR 500-700/- However, you have to pay the examination fee separately every semester that is 6 times in the span of 3 years.
Campus Life :
DU is known for its campus life and yes SVC too abides by it. If simply put, the campus life truly stands to the reputation of "college vibe and atmosphere". The culture is diverse, you socialize with people all across the nation, the campus is lush green, tidy, and filled with doggos. The clubs and societies provide you with good exposure and truly polish your skillset.
