Remarks :

I applied to Rajagiri college of social science Kalamassery, SCMS Kalamassery, St. Aloysius College Elthurth, and other colleges out of Kerala. Couldn't go out of Kerala due to reasons. Among all these colleges I chose St. Thomas College Autonomous Thrissur because they have a history of more than 100 years many reputed alumni studied in this college, the college has a large Library. The college is active in all extracurricular activities, from stepping to the college for the first time itself one can feel the vibrance, energy, or power the college gives. It has a very lively environment. Getting admission to the college is quite tough as it has great competition. Especially for the B.com course. I had a 96 % mark still I was on the waiting list for the trial allotment. I had an ex-service quota which helped me to grab my seat in the first allotment. They had a cut-off at 96% for merit seats. Then they gave an excellent counseling session.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I want to build a career in Banking Finance or the Insurance sector that's why I chose b.com finance. We have excellent expertise faculties in the college who binds the whole department together. Every one and a half months there will be internal exams and at the end of the 5th month, we'll have the end semester exam. The exam is quite difficult to score a good percentage.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

We have only reasonable fees of rs 3000 every year. Numerous scholarships are available for students who come under section the OBC, SC-ST, students who have an annual income below 2 lakh, scholarships for students who have excellent marks in the twelfth board exam. Companies like Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Delloite, South Indian Bank, Federal Bank, etc come for recruitment. Even amidst of pandemic college had 260+ Placements.

Campus Life :

Srishti, Dhwani, Exodus, Carnivalesque, and Turo fest are the management fest of the college apart from this number of department fests, International Conferences also take place every year. Finishing school, Entrepreneurship club, cookery club, fashion club, dance club, adventure club, music club are other major clubs that actively conducts program and events. Food fest, cake fest, innovation and development fest, Fine arts, sports are other events that take place annually.

Other Applied Colleges

Rajagiri college of social science | B.com with ACCA

The fees are quite high and didn't felt like a friendly environment to study. The college is more bo

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'm a 3rd year BCom Taxation student. I don't think that some subjects are relevant for the course. Some subjects are not required in the future. From 5th sem onwards there is an open Course subject which we have to learn and pass the exam. The open Course subject that I have received is not based on the marks that I received in my previous semester exam. And in have to go to the office to change the subject of my like later on.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My dream is to become a accountant. So I choose this bcom with computer application course. The course structure was very nice and we can understand easily. In my opinion do more practicals . This course is therotically oriented which is not good when we go for a job. So it is better to give more practicals than theory sections. Main reason I hated the college was the exams. The college put the exam without any time gap which was very annoying

Placement Experience:

They are providing the best placements from other college. In the 2nd year of our course first they give training to us and then they give internship programms . And in the third year they make us ready for our placements. They provide best company placement to us. They are not looking our marks for selection but the attitude towards them.
