Decent college. If you work a just a little hard you could land a good salary.

Remarks :

I applied to many colleges through the counseling rounds and I was given the E&TC branch in sinhgad college of engineering, vadegaon. The admission process was really simple, I just had to visit the college and submit the required documents and fees. The minimum marks required to take the CET exam is a minimum of 55% marks in 12th or any other equivalent exam.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose this course because I wanted to persue coding and this engineering was the 1st step to it. So I am a 2nd-year student and I haven't been to college since admission so I have no idea about the student to faculty ratio but judging that there is almost 2 teacher for a single subject in a section and there are 3 sections in total so there is 1 teacher for every 30 students. The term exams are conducted timely and properly. It is pretty easy to pass in a subject if you have attended all the lectures carefully. The teaching staff is good but it really depends on your luck if your class is assigned a good teacher.

Internships Opportunities :

The college somewhat helps you in the interships but dont expect much from the college you have to work and find out yourself if want to get an internship. From what i have heard you need to apply for companies yourself the teachers could help if your are in the list of good students. And I personally dont expect a stipend from my intership i would gladly just do it for experience and for my resume.

Placement Experience :

The campus placement in this college is ok for e&tc, IT and CS branch. I have no idea about the rest of the branches. The avg package for E&tc is around 4-5 lakhs for IT it is around 4-6.5 lakhs and for CS it is around 5-6 lakhs. Many companies visit the campus and a lot of students apply so the competition is huge but you will land a decent salary if have basic knowledge of the subjects. The highest salary offered was around 19 lakh. You can sit for placements around the last SEM of 3rd year. Around 50-60% students land the avg package and the rest are in the below segment or the upper segment.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The total fees of engineering are around 1.3 lakh per year. And the fees are the same across all the branches. There are plenty of scholarships provided by the state CET cell and the college but you need to have the criteria to avail them. The campus placement is ok, for e&tc, the avg placement was around 4-5 lakhs for most of the students. For the CS branch, it was around 5-6 lakhs. I have no idea about the rest of the branches.

Campus Life :

I don't have much idea about the campus life but from what i have heard from the seniors the campus life is absolutely fun and you would really enjoy it. Sinhgad hosts Pune's biggest annual fest and many colleges come to it. There are activites almost every month. Sports and extracurricular are also good. The infrastructure of the college is also great and the labs and classes are well built. Journals and books are available in the library and you can loan them before exams for about a week or so.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel facility is good and the rooms are big enough with each room given an attached washroom. I don't know about the hostel mess and the quality of food but the mess in most engg hostel sucks so I don't expect much anyway. The college is at some distance from the hostel around a 5-10 min walk and it would be good if you have a cycle or scooty as you would require them for daily use. The hostel fees is around 40-50k per year including mess.
