Entrance Preview :

NATA, I scored a 98 in the exam. I selected architecture because I was always interested in innovation and wanted to learn the skills in designing spaces.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course structure as in the academics is heavily dependent on the university rules and deadlines. So though you will get the opportunity to explore your creativity and design skills, sometimes you may not find the adequate time to completely execute your ideas. So time constraints and deadlines govern the curriculum. So the students have to be prepared to work in an environment structured within deadlines.

Internships Opportunities :

No, There are no placements for this field. Architecture as a field have no placements from the colleges. Students find their way . Its not very difficult to find jobs. Just keep compiling your work and make a portfolio of the compiled work. Architecture as the field has no placement provisions like engineering or other courses offer.

Placement Experience :

College Events :

The college holds one festival called Alegria in which students from all fields participate with celebrities attending the festival every year. There are different types of workshops ranging from simple design exercises to photography sessions to games. Rink football, tug of war are some of the games held. There are also seminars conducted covering interesting topics by esteemed professionals.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure for my batch was starting at 60k and by the final year was 80 k. The fees now is 1 lakh or more. The fee structure is quite standard of the college in relation to other architecture colleges in Mumbai. The administraton staff explains well the breakdown of the fee structure. Part of the fee is for registration of the students with the council of architecture.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are some scholarships available in the college. I don't think there are loan opportunities available. The scholarship details are available in the architecture administration office. The scholarship provided is quite helpful for students.

Campus Life :

The gender ratio was healthy. The ratio of girls was more to boys. Extracurricular activities are encouraged but academics is prime. The students are quite helpful to one another but there is the usual politics that is present everywhere. It all comes down to your skills and personality and there is a lot to learn in the process.

Exam Structure :

The exam structure was well defined and clear. It wasn't too hectic nor too chilled. There are two kinds of exams. There are written or theory papers of two hours minimum. It's about literature. Information about building codes and building technologies. The building technologies paper requires manual drafting. While the second set of exams are juries or viva.

Admission :

I went through the internet.. NATA has its site. The admission procedure is well explained on the website. All details are present in the site so there should be no problem. Approaching the desired college that you want to get into might help as I always wanted to get into pillais college in panvel. The staff was helpful to me to get through the admission process.

Faculty :

This is a tricky part. Well I would say that most of the faculty are well informed and qualified and are dedicated to the betterment of the students. It's just that the students would have to be in constant touch with the teachers as the students have to understand that the teachers in the college are professionals who are working and will be busy with their respective work.

Students get campus placement after last yr. Although they become eligible for internship after 3rd yr University exams . Some students get the opportunity to go to France through students exchange programme in 4th yr for 11 months.

Placement Experience:

The campus provides placements for 5th-year and 3rd-year ID students. There are about 10-15 companies that come for placements. The average package of the company would be roughly 2,50,000 to 3,00,000.

campus placement is generally eligible in the last year. for architecture, the term campus placement is not fitting in this college. there is only a single company taking students from here in the name of campus placement. the intake is less than 5 students out of 80. more students go for starting a firm by their own or do post-graduation. i think ill do the post graduation after my degree.

Admission:

Admissions into any architectural university nowadays are purely through NATA. This university doesn't choose to differ as well. The minimum marks to be scored in boards is 50% with PCM as the stream. The candidate has to apply online and pay the fee online too.

Placement Experience:

There are very little/no placements as of now. But the student can take up internship programs if he/she is interested with stipend. The college doesn't provide them stipend. The college however grooms us well to face situations like placements.

Admission:

I wrote JEE mains and NATA as I was very determined in getting into architecture someway or the other. Luckily I got into B.Arch at TSAP with my NATA score and Board score cumulative. One has to score a minimum of 50% in his/her boards. The NATA and JEE mains cut off varies from year to year.

Placement Experience:

Placement training at TSAP is excellent, we have frequent workshops, the institute even takes up live projects where students could lend a hand. Most of them do their post-graduation and the rest of them get placed in firms for experiencing a job.
