Remarks

Because this college is one of the best private engineering colleges of west Bengal. And college infrastructure is very good. College campus area at least 200 acres. In this college many department are available so you want any branches you can take admission here.

Course Curriculum Overview

Civil engineers life is very responsible life and busy life. I choose this course because civil work is never stop in the world. After you doing civil engineering you can take easily job in private construction companies. So civil life unstoppable.

College fees is not higher. Fees are common like every college. But you have some financial problems and if you have literally belongs to poor family. HIT College reduce fees alt least 40% In this.

Campus Life

Campus Life is very good. But when you are in 1st year you feel uncomfortable for sometime. But if you spend atleast 3 months you feel much better. Every year in our college many tournament are organised by our college you can take participate. You spend you evening outside of college cafeteria (Thek)

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is not good or not bad.If you don't want hostel you can take rooms nearby college. Rooms are easily available. And rooms are good And less expensive than hostel. But in hostel you feel much safety than rented rooms. In hostel if you have any problems college takes responsibility.

Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

The students can apply for internship via Career Development Centre in the beginning of their pre final Year. they can go for off campus intern whenever they want. Most of the goo companies would come and mostly for software finance consulting etc. The placements start in the second last semester as far as i know. The competition for placement is getting really high these days

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university is MAKAUT so the curriculum is up to the mark. I liked Programming so I chose B.TECH in CSE. The curriculum is very basic in terms of practical world problem though they are building blocks, but you need to do the extra bit of work to qualify for the real world scenarios. I think more mandatory projects integrated with current set of skills would be a cherry on top. Exams are very frequent like every 3-4 months there is a semester exam and they are moderately difficult.

Remarks:

Placement for IT streams is very good but not good for the core stream. Infrastructure and campus beauty are very good. Faculty are average. Canteens are slightly costly but foods are ok. Hostel and Transport facilities are available.

I choose haldia institute of technology as it offers a good balanced between affordability infrastructure reputation and academic quality espicially for btech conputer science. HIT, Haldia Better then Government Colleges of West Bnegal

I have got some government colleges but the placements were worse in those and this college has a huge number placements you know.. for addmission in this college 80 percent are from WBJEE 10 percent from JEE mains and 10 percent from management Quota. The addmission process is quite smooth just fill addmission form they will verify then pay the semester fee and your addmission is done ? verification step is most important there during addmission. I applied to this particular college because of the low expense and it being near to my state, it takes 6 hours to get there which is why I chose to stay at hostel. Good facilities are available, you will not have problem navigating the area however be careful of your surroundings.
