Remarks :
The reason to chose this College was that the Infrastructure was good and the admission process went fast rather than taking some time. The fees was also affordable compared to other colleges which I checked out. Students can avail the Local sub-urban Trains for transportation purpose which is of great use as the railway station is Very much closer to the college and students only have to walk barely a few distance in order to enter into the college after getting down at the station.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose Bachelor of Commerce in order to move forward in my career with Managerial roles and Business related opportunities. Our faculty for B.Com were all nice person who went to have a very good student-teacher relationship. Their teaching mainly involved in understanding the concepts, clearing doubts, assessing everyone by class Tests etc. They made some mistakes here and there but it's human nature and they rectified and corrected it. Every student was lucky enough to understand the academics and nobody complaint about the lack of teaching from the faculty. To make academic more easier we had libraries, online books, Guidance from senior which helps in knowing more about the subject and doing well in examinations. Due to the fact that class Tests and revision exams were conducted regularly it was not that difficult for us to write the semester exam. It is in our hands on how we study, how we learn rather complaining for silly reasons.
Internships Opportunities :
I didn't opt for any internship during my study period and according to my knowledge there wasn't any internship opportunities available during my 3 year course period. College provides you with Campus interview where you can get placed with a company if you get selected.
Placement Experience :
Placement occurs during the start of your last year or semester. Placement is organised very well by the College as they have appointed a placement officer who takes care of all those placement related work and informs students about the placement opportunity, what are the do's and don'ts etc. Several top companies arrive at the college for selecting students. The highest salary package offered to a student could be anywhere from 25,000 to 30,000 per month and the lowest could be 12,000 to 15,000. If a student decides not to attend the campus or his desired company doesn't visit the campus then he/she can go for a post graduation or try for an off campus interview respectively.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Our college has two shifts namely Morning and Evening. Evening shift has more fee structure compared to Morning shift students. 23,000 (Until 2019)per semester will be the fee structure in evening shift whereas it would be around 8000 per semester for the morning shift.College also provides scholarship opportunities for students who are financially weak and those who have more than 90% attendance. College is also well reputed whereby several companies approach for campus selection. 95% of the students get placed while some look for post graduation or try something.
Campus Life :
As a Day scholar my overall experience about the campus is great as all necessary information you need Will be provided at the notice board. Students can be friendly with everyone as there no policies regarding that. Severe punishment would be given if any kind of harassment takes place. The faculty members are all friendly and would help you at clearing your doubts. You can also look into the library for Extra books in search of information you want. There are also clubs like rotary club in which students can join and contribute. Our college has a big ground which can be used for sports activities. Many students also involve in cultural activities which happens annually. As far as hosteller goes all of the above details mentioned applies to them along with the Accommodation and food facilities they are provided with. Well equipped Rooms plus vegetarian food are available to the students who resides in hostel. They have the safe environment to life for whereby i haven't heard a complaint regarding poor management of hostel. Overall irrespective of hosteller or Day scholar it is good to study here and enjoy the atmosphere that it creates for you
Admission :
No. I didn't Face any group discussion or personal interview during my admission process. All they had was to check my academic qualification in 10th and 12th and stated the necessary information about the college like what it is famous for, life after studying here, the placement factor, the environment in AM Jain etc. After that they informed us about the fee structure and asked to pay within 2-3 days as the slots were filling fast. After multiple consideration we decided to move forward with AM Jain College as this was more suitable to me in course wise and also location wise.
