Review - [GPC], Palakkad

I applied to the government Polytechnic College Palakkad because it is one of the best Polytechnic colleges in Palakkad. I am joined here based on my 10th and 12th. The minimum criteria for joining Polytechnic is the 10th standard. The procedure for admission started with a 10th standard-based rank list.

I am interested in electrical subjects. My first priority was electrical engineering. So I chose electrical engineering for higher studies. Our class contain 67 students and that 67 students branched into four groups for lad study. All tutors are well educated and they give good support to us. Exams are conducted in a regular manner and results are published as early as possible.

Kanjikod ITI private limited, Fluid control and research institute, BPL Telecom other major companies provide internships for students and provide a valuable appreciation for an apprenticeship. All courses offer 10 days internship mandatory for students in the syllabus.

Placement activities are starting after the 5th semester. Many MNC companies and other regional Companies are held their placement drive here.MRF, L&T, Thought works, Infosys, Anand group, Malabar cement s& Pvt Ltd, are some of them.

I am studying in a government Polytechnic college. So our study fees are almost free. Only small amounts are charged for tuition fees and other services. Financially backward students got E-grant as a scholarship from the government of Kerala. It reduces the exam fees and tuition fees of the students. College also provides placement for students. The college has been conducted a job fair for pursuing and pass out students.

College provides good opportunities for students who are interested in arts and sports. Every year one week is dedicated to arts and sports day. College conduct NSS and NCC units to improve students' commitment towards society. College provides library facilities for students. Students can refer to books and other journals for study and research purposes. Smart classrooms are provided for seminar presentations and other educational conferences.
