Remarks
I had applied for jee main counselling as well as various state counsellings namely Haryana, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh. I could not get a CSE branch in jee counselling but I got selected in top ranking govt colleges of Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh for CSE. among those attending Uiet Kuk was most convenient for me so I chose this college. I did not avail any quota for admission. the minimum mark for admission to my course was 45% in class 12th. the admission process was very smooth. every step was conducted online including document verification due to covid 19. the customer care of the Haryana counselling was also active which solved my doubts during the counseling process.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Btech in cse because I have always been interested in tech and stuff and I like to do coding. Also, cse branch has a lot of scope in today's market. the faculty: student ratio is adequate. the faculties are well informed in their respective fields and very helpful. they teach wonderfully although all of our classes till now have been conducted through online mode. College was opened 2 times to conduct labs. 1st and 2nd semester exams have been conducted through online mode. exams were conducted soon after syllabus completion but any of the results have not been declared yet. the questions in the exam were pretty straight forward and any student who had attended the lectures could answer them.
Internships Opportunities
college doesn't provide any internship opportunities. students have to apply for internships in various industries by themselves. Also, college have various labs where they provide various electronic instruments and equipment to students to undergo various projects which have to be submitted by students in their final year.
Placement Experience
two or three companies including Vivo, TCS come for campus placement which offers an average of 4.5 lakhs package. students can apply for off campus placements. the college also has an entrepreneurship cell and incubation cell which encourages students to start their own startups. I also plan to start my own ai based company after completion of my degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
the fees at the time of our admission were 76000 annually without any waiver but it has been increased to 84000 in the 2nd year. but still, it is reasonable because it is a state government college. the college also offers tuition fee waivers and staff discounts to eligible Haryana domicile students. also, various scholarship programmes can be applied by the Haryana domicile students. I am in 2nd year so I have not got any internship yet.
Campus Life
due to covid, no annual fest or tech fest have been conducted in the college yet. a lot of relevant books are available in the college library which can be issued for studying. classrooms are spacious and well lighted. the university in which college is located has its own stadium and sports complex where a lot of sports is practised including kabaddi, basketball, cricket, volleyball. an e-cell, coding club, the coding group is available in the college.
Hostel Facilities
the boy's hostel is up to mark. the rooms are not very big but liveable. we are given an almirah with our rooms. usually, there are triple, double and single bedrooms allocated during various years. wifi is available in the hostel. every hostel has big green fields and spacious verandas. the food quality is average. in the menu, various vegetables are given on various days of the week. the hostel registration process is smooth and it does not take a lot of time and rooms including mess are quite affordable considering it is a government run university and not a private college.
