Internships Opportunities :
Yes, but most internships are for undergraduate students, companies like Adobe, Goldman Sachs, DRDO, Schlumberger, Cairn India, etc. provide internships to undergraduate students. For Ph. D students, they can opt for various student exchange programs like Erasmus or with some Australian Universities.
Placement Experience :
Placements and Job opportunities are for most of the undergraduate students and some postgraduate students, very rarely it happens that a Ph D student gets placed from Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad. Ph. D. students are expected and encouraged to apply for post doctorate research studies abroad.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The institute provides many scholarships to deserving students, The institute does not provide any educational loan but students can avail educational loan from State Bank of India in the campus, during admissions SBI provides education loans.
Campus Life :
Events are organised by their respective committees throughout the year. Inter departmental activities, sports, NCC, NSS, Drama, Music, Art, Photography, Debate all other activities have separate committees. Most of the extracurricular activities are taken up at the Student Activity Centre, which also houses a swimming pool, two gymnasiums, boxing ring, snooker, pool, Table tennis and various other clubs.

IIT(ISM) has a vast alumni network, spread across the entire globe, the alumni provides scholarships to meritorious students.
Exam Structure :
The examination pattern is divided into 2 parts, Mid Semester, as the name suggests happens during the middle of the semester and end semester during the end of a semester both examinations carry some weight for the overall grade, faculties have the freedom to conduct examination as per their choice.
Faculty :
Almost all the faculties are Ph. D. from good universities of India and Abroad, I am a student at the department of environmental science and engineering, the faculty in my department have rich teaching and R&D experience from diversified backgrounds.
