Entrance Preview

I didn't take entrance exams, once I finished my HSC and got the marks, I wanted to do maths course which is my favourite subject. I found many colleges but as this was nearer and had good reviews I entered with my marksheet to get my admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum was a perfect fit for the students, first year affiliation subject was chemistry and 2nd year was computer. All students felt it was not loaded too much and was right in learning wise also. Third years was totally all the 5 papers were mathematics and it was really an enjoyable learning.

Internships Opportunities

As far I know there was no stipend when I was studying. Now they would have bought such things to make the students also get interested in subject as well as in job.

Placement Experience

5

Placements were there and before attending placements we were given some instructions. We had campus selection and off campus selection. In campus many books companies came and selected many and offered starting package of 2 to 2.5 Lac per annum in 2006 itself. We had off campus selection from wipro which was conducted in Anna university.

College Events

4.5

Our college had so many events celebrations, like cultural, inter college and intra college. Events will be conducted for whole college and some events will be conducted only inside the department's.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship was provided for SC, ST, BC and NBC students in fee structure as per government rules. In case any student parents are unable to pay fees management will give a consideration to them according to their parents occupation or payslip.

Exam Structure

Exams we had was semester pattern, so it was cool. Labs were really jolly hours. We had good faculties as well as good lab assistance, so lab section and practicals was really easy and we scored very well in tat. Computer and chemistry and lab works were very easy as we had good knowledge provision from our faculties.

Admission

First and foremost, once I entered in this college to get admission, they treated me really good and the process were really easy to finish it up. They provided the admission form and made us to speak to the principal. She was a kind lady and gave the admission as my marks were good.

Faculty

4.5

Faculties were not just like faculties they were like good teachers, friends, guides, mother's at times. They taught us in the way we can understand the subject to its core. They made us to feel the importance of each and every subject and the way we should learn.

Placement Experience:

Our college provides placement. At first they will conduct some training programme for those students who are all interested and paid fee for placements after that based on the performance of the students in the interviews they got selected. Companies like Accenture and many others come forward. The percentage of the students getting placed is depends on good performance. I planned to look forward for some jobs by cracking some exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well the course provides almost everything which is needed and available. This is not a normal economics course as it involves statistics, python, core math and also dives into data science. This allows the students to explore various subjects and can choose which is their best fileld. The curriculum overall is very rigorous and intense but you can crack it if you study regularly. About the frequencies of the examinations, we have 2 internal examinations and 1 end semester examination. I can guarantee that this course is super rigorous but im not sure if i would necessarily say that the course is "practical" and it helps us in the real word. I cannot comment on the practicality of the courses. The exams are not super difficult and its moderate. Getting more than 90% can be challenging although clearing the paper won't be an impossible task.

Placement Experience:

College facilitates campus placements every year for students passing out from the institution. Students are eligible to attend placements from their 6th semester. College also extends students to passed out candidates, 2yrs from their passed out year. Huge giants from IT and Non-IT sector, such as Wipro, Cognizant, TCS, Infosys, and many more, would conducts placements in our college. Other sectors, like hospitality, schools, healthcare would also conduct interviews on campus. The highest average package offered varies from 3.5LPA for IT Profiles to 2.5LPA for Non-IT profiles, considering all are freshmen with no experience. Every year, on an average, 60% students get placed through campus interviews and placements. I am currently working as a HR in a Consultancy Company, a job that I acquired through campus placement drive.
