Remarks :

I appeared for Jee advanced 2018 and got into IIT Patna. for getting into it one needs to qualify Jee Main and Jee advanced with a decent rank. The seat allocation for all Centrally funded technical Institutes including IITs is conducted by the Joint Seat allocation authority (JOSAA), after getting the seat one has to physically report to the institute for Counselling.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The Computer Science department at IIT Patna is very good, with a faculty to student ratio of 1:10, The Professors here are highly qualified with a strong research background. We have two major exams per semester and a number of quizzes throughout the semester. The exams are not much difficult to pass but to get a decent grade one has to work very hard.

Class Size : 70Course Fees : INR 200000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Internship opportunities are also available here, many companies visit for hiring summer interns on campus. apart from industrial interns students also got research interns opportunities both in India and abroad. Also, many projects are going on under different Professors If Interested students can also work on those projects.

Placement Experience :

Placements at IIT Patna are very good, for Computer Science and Electronics branch it is nearly 100% in terms of no of students placed. the major hiring sectors are IT, manufacturing, finance, and education more details can be found out on the Training and Placement cell's website.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The tuition fees at IIT Patna are 200000 per year, however, the institute provides many scholarships for financially weak students which cover whole tuition fees. the MCM scholarship is offered to all economically weak students having good merit which covers whole tuition fees and also an extra Rs 1000 per month.

Campus Life :

The annual cultural fest is Anwesha which is a three-day event conducted in Jan-Feb, the tech fest is celesta conducted in Oct-Nov and sports fest is Infinito. The central library of IIT Patna has a rich collection of books and journals from top publications across the world.

Hostel Facilities :

The IIT Patna has three major hostels currently (many others are under construction). Each hostel has one or two messes. mess food here is fine in terms of hygiene, Hostel accommodation is compulsory for each student and is provided to them at the time of registration. both hostels and mess are not much expensive and can be easily afforded

I was interested in this course for a very long time. Faculty members are very good here, they taught us very well all respective courses. All are very well-qualified teachers here with Ph.D. degrees from reputed colleges. Every semester duration is of 6months and this course is not very easy but not also very tough.

Internship opportunities

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placement after the 5th sem. A lot of services and core companies visit here like Alstom, TCS, HCl, Infosys, etc. Alstom offered 7.2 LPA to 15 students. Last year more than 50 percent of the students were placed. The placement is 100% in its branch. I am planning for higher education.

Remarks:

One of the oldest college of India where you can see old buildings which awesome architect the campus is also added with many new buildings along with student activity center (SAC). The campus is very near to river bank of ganga which adds a lot to the beauty of campus

My experience with my college

Remarks:

It is a growing college with an aim to promote quality education amongst the students of Bihar. It is creating a peaceful environment for the students to explore their areas of interest. It is going to be a great college in the future.

Admission:

I appeared for the entrance exam that is CUCET which is required for the admission. The college considers the composite scores of CUCET along with the 10+2 marks in the science stream wherein physics and mathematics are the compulsory subjects.
