Detailed review on B.Tech Biotech

Remarks :

The admission is purely based on JEE main score and rank. I have applied for this college as my first preference because of the course and lowest fee among other colleges. I had no quota so joined on basis of the UR category. There is no age limit for taking admission here rather you need your 12th and 10th certificate and JEE main rank card. The admission happens on separate days for all the branches to avoid crowding.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose this course because of my interest. The course is quite good with a wide field of study and opportunities. The faculties are having good experience and knowledge in their respective fields. The faculty: student ratio is 1:3 particularly for this course. Every faculty holds a PhD degree and some have post-doctoral experiences. The exams are conducted once every 1.5 months approximately and are not that tough to pass but grades may vary depending on you.

Internships Opportunities :

Many companies and institutes accept internships from our college. Not every internship is associated with getting stipends but will surely gain good knowledge at the end. The college provides enough time for students to complete their internships which would be preferable in the future and not on short periods.

Placement Experience :

Our college offers a good number of placement opportunities for both college and outside students as well. Students in their 7th semester are eligible for campus placements. companies like TCS and Accenture provide an average of 300 seats. The highest package from my knowledge is 15 LPA and the average goes to 3 LPA. Above 60% of students get placed every year. My plan is to go for higher studies after completion of my degree.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee is 80000 per year for this course which is higher than core courses. so overall of 320000 is the total fee for it in 4 years. The fee remains constant and has not been hiked till now. there are few state and central level scholarships which we are eligible to apply through the college and oneself scholarship is also there to assist other students as well.

Campus Life :

The campus is awesome, it is present outside the main city and is free of crowd and noises. The annual fest occurs once a year generally in the month of February or March. Classrooms are quite big to accommodate enough students in them. The library contains all books required for every course completion. The annual sports meet is organized in the month of January and has many other clubs as extra activities. The individual clubs have their websites maintained by the students themselves.

Placements in KIIT are great as they are able to invite almost all top companies across globe and also train the students in the formative year of their bachelor's degree. They also continously guide students about various placement rounds involved for different companies.

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements where they have to show their skills to the interviews in order to get placement. The name of the companies visited are Infosys, Oracle, Dalmia, Tata. The average package the companies give is around 3 to 4 lacs. My plan after getting the degree is to already settle by getting a placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements! Once upon a time in year 2016-17 Amazon, Oracle etc used to come... Now all are just less paying startups who select for 3,4,4.5 lpa on average Yeah some get 9-10lpa if they are really good, opportunities are always there for good students, but not more than this... If you're dreaming a 13,15,20,50lpa package, don't wake up, it's not possible in real life here (atleast till now)

Remarks:

This college provides a good environment for professional study. I got alloted to the college through my entrance mark so i chose it. It was my dream to study Electrical engineering but i didn't got the branch in any other college and i got the department over here so i thought it would be better to study here

Placement Experience:

Various companies visit our campus for recruitment. Among those companies the name of some big companies are TATA, INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, JINDAL, LNT. For being able to sit in the interview for any campus a student must have scored a minimum of 7 cgpa and must have good communication skills. In my knowledge there is no big startup by our batch.
