Entrance Preview :

IIT MAINS, chose this course because it was an entrance for many colleges . IIT MAINS is basically for entrance in various colleges including NITs. Hence it was the best suited exam.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Equal weightage given to practical and theoretical knowledge. Laboratory work is done properly by the students and various assignments are too given to the students. Though sometimes students are made to mug-up the theory which is not a good thing. This thing should be avoided as it prevents the students to actually gain something out of their curriculum.

Internships Opportunities :

Provides internship in 3rd year. Mostly in research based companies. The number of internships is definitely less. More number of internships should be availed to the students.

Placement Experience :

Good companies come for campus interviews. Companies like TCS, Infosys, cognizant etc. Recruit the students. Good packages are given to the students who prove their capabilities. The average package is around 3-4 lakhs. A good student can always get good placement.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee-structure is feasible. It is around ₹40 k per semester for the information technology branch. The reserved category students get frequent scholarships which might prove helpful for them. Scholarships to the students whose parents' income is less should be given so that they would not face any problems during the course.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Scholarships given to the reserved category students. No scholarships for general category students. But reserved category students do receive scholarships of various amounts.

Alumni/Alumna :

Not in touch with alumni students. Did not happen to meet any ex-student. But mostly the students are well placed.

Exam Structure :

Each semester lasts for approximately 6 months and during this course two mid terms and one ends sems are held. The end sems include one internal viva, one written exam, and one external viva. The mid terms are written. There are adequate amount of assessments done.

Admission :

After appearing in IIT MAINS the score and the rank is submitted to MP Online website and various colleges are allotted to various students according to their ranking. My rank was around 42 k and hence I got the Information Technology branch in SGSITS, Indore.

Faculty :

Well educated faculty teaches the students. They cover approximately 80% of the syllabus during the course of the semester. Mostly the professors are helping and assist the students in the labs. Explanations can be made better though. Students are mostly working on latest softwares but the hardware should be updated to.

Placement Experience:

The placement is good in our college as the highest package grabbed by our senior was 1.15 cr this year through Amazon eu. The percentage of students getting placement are around 80%. My plans are to grab campus placement.

Sum up all learned things to the astonishing work

Placement Experience:

Campus placement are quite good in Jabalpur Engineering College. Students are eligible and can avail campus placement from their 7th semester onwards. There are some companies i would like to mention , TCS, Reliance Jio, IBM, Wipro, Collabera, TrueChip, Cognizant and some others. Some of them came for mass selection of students with good knowledge of their companies. The highest salary package of companies co.e in JEC are 7-8 LPA. The average salary packages are provided by companies is 3-5 LPA. Chances of getting selected in the campus placement are depends upon the students Strong hold on the subject and their course. So basically the chances of getting selected is around 30-40% . Students usually tend to have many dram after getting selected in campus placement. As per my plan, after getting a degree i will prone to learn new technology and present myself a position where i can give my all conceptual knowledge earned from College period and convert into practical knowledge.

My college

Remarks:

If college will improvise the college placement ratio than that would be very helpful for all the students studying there.

Admission:

I have 60% above percentage in my 12th class so I was eligible to get admission in that college. The college is closer to my home also that's why I opted for that college. They took photocopy of all valid documents and first instalment of fee. they have there own bus facility and hostel as well which is suitable to all.
