Remarks :

I heard a lot about ISM before joining for being well recognised in India in earth science department and having a good placement in PSUs like ONGC etc. The department is rich in terms of apparatus and oldest in india and have bettar alumni connection. I was selected in the first cut off by JAM and assigned ISM and some forms were have to be filled before coming to ISM and the rest of the admission procedure was done on the day of physical registration that was 23 July and hostel was alloted on the same day.

Course Curriculum Overview :

There are 11 faculty members in geophysics department. In my batch there are 44 students (34 selected by JAM for M.Sc tech course and 10 from IIT JEE exam). All the evaluation of marks and placement is done combined for both the cources and classes are also combined. In one semester we have minimum three exams one being midsem, one endsem and one quize apart from that the quizzes depends on prof only he can take more than one quiz if he wants. All the profs are highly qualified and research oriented and teaching method differed from prof to prof. They mostly teach by PPT. We have gaussian system for evaluation of marks which is considered to be more difficult that normal one because all the grades are compulsory to be assigned even if the marks lie in the range from 80 to 85.

Class Size : 34Course Fees : INR 7000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Some companies like vedanta gives the internship opportunities and also gives the PPO if the like your work but student can also approach for internships on their own.

Placement Experience :

Placement season starts from October. Companies like ONGC, Vedanta, exxon mobile, Halliburton, etc cames in placement season some also gives PPO. Apart from that we can go for other companies that comes to campus like flipckart, amazon, google, etc if someone is interested. The highest package in geophysics department goes up to 30 lakh per annum

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The total fee is around 75k to 80k for one year. The fee for odd semesters are slightly higher than as compare to even semesters. There is many scholarships available for the students with different eligibility criteria the major being MCM scholarship. There is no stipend for M.Sc. tech course as such but students from M.Tech and phd students get the stipend.

Campus Life :

Campus is filled with activities apart from acadmic. Many fests are organised during the semester mazor being srijan, concetto etc. There are different clubs and groups for different activities like singing, dancing, fine arts, literature, sports and many more. The library is the heart of the institute with good facility of books, journals. It is fully air conditioned with 6 floors.It has a good space and perfect environment to spent some time with books.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel wich us assigned to first year students, named jasper hostel is really huge with five floors divided into 4 blocks. Each floor have one canteen, mess, and tv room. Every hostel has one accesory shop where one can get all the essential items used in daly life like shope, shampoo, xerox machine, oil, pen etc.

Admission :

JAM (Joint admission test for msc) physics rank more than 400 for general category 2019

The best college in jharkhand

Placement Experience:

The placement of the college is given to all students as campuses are arranged by colleges from different companies. The students are eligible for placement after second-year exams. The of companies are reliance pharmacy, nayrani multi-hospital, sun pharmacy, etc. The highest is 5 lakh and the average is 3 lakh. The percentage of students getting placement is about 75%. I plan to join a company for 10 years for collecting money for opening a medical shop.

Placement Experience:

100 per cent of students get placement. All students have completed this course and get a better placement. My plans after getting the degree I want to be a pharmacist. Last semester students become eligible for campus placement. The Glenmark company is visited in our college. The percentage of students getting placement is 80%.

Best Pharmacy College in Jharkhand

Placement Experience:

In 2nd year, students are eligible for campus placement. In many companies and industries, placement is offered. Minimum 20000 packages are provided in jobs and according to their post, the gets their higher package. 80 to 90% of students gets a job per session.
