Remarks :

If you are a girl who belongs to the general category and wants to study at Delhi University, it's a great college to opt for. Though the college is quite good in terms of study, faculty but you might find it difficult to reach to the college, as the transportation services are not so good. The college also does not provide much exposure to talented students as it contains very few societies and also the classes start too late as teachers are not assigned on time. If you are fully oriented towards opting for home science, especially food and nutrition, you might feel privileged as you will get admission in this college even if you have achieved an average percentage in class 12th. The admission procedure is quite easy and simple. One must be from a Science background to opt for this course. Out of physics, chemistry, biology, home science, marks obtained in top 3 subjects, is used to calculate the percentage to match the cut-off.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The college consists of good quality teachers. But permanent teachers are less as compared to overall teachers. Teachers in the home science department are very experienced, educated, helpful, and friendly at the same time. The student's ratio is quite low, hence teachers give provide proper attention to the students. Exams take place timely as scheduled by Delhi University. The marking scheme is also as per university guidelines. It is very easier to pass the exams if you attend the classes wholeheartedly and attentively.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees are quite low as compared to other colleges of the university. Fees are quite affordable due to the rural location of the college. There is no hostel facility so, the only thing that might cost you more is accommodation in pg or flats. There is no scholarship for general category students. There is no placement as such for home science students.

Campus Life :

Infrastructure is not so good. At the peak time of the semester, there is a lack of classrooms to take a class. We students have to look for available and empty spots. Classrooms assigned clashes most of the time. There is scope for students to join NSS and NCC. There are also yoga and aerobic classes, open for all courses to join. Also, students get refreshments and coupons for participating in sports activities. There is a small canteen where you can sit with your friends and have a chit-chat. Though the quality of food is not good in the canteen. There is an eco-club adjacent to the college for recreation. One might get amazing photography in the college as it is full of greenery. Fest is organized once a year. The only place where you can enjoy air conditioning is the library. The library is small yet nice. Though there is less number of books to issue. There are intra-college competitions that take place but their results are not declared as such.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always excelled in mathematics in school. So, i decided to pursue it for higher studies. You should only choose this course if you want to make a career in mathematics field for example if you want to become a mathematics professor, go into research, become a data scientist or clear exams like JAM, NET, JRF. They do teach softwares like R which is very important but they should include more technologies and coding languages into the course as well. Special mention: if you want to pursue a career in data science i wouldn't recommend this course. I think a computer major would be more helpful.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was always interested in studying chemistry since school so I opted for this course. The course is well built and designed in order to build your interest in this field. The college provides enough industrial visits to encourage you in the same field and organises sufficient conferences regarding the same. There are no such improvements required in the faculty except a few. Exams used to happen semester wise after every 5 months. We only used to prepare for these, only a few teachers asked us to solve an assignment and nothing much.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In my opinion my course syllabus is good and better then some of the other courses. This course helps and prepares students for the real world application as it is a practical course and have all the industrial related topics in it. In my opinion the college should offer more industrial vists for the students. The difficulty level of exams is Average.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I gave Entrance and I qualified and I have no option other than this course. Our Faculty is a mixture, as we have to study Physics Chemistry and Mathematics so we have three 3 departments. Student teacher ratio is 10:1. All teachers are PhD Professor. they wrote many books also, their teaching is according to UGC syllabus. they provide notes. There is Semester exam after 6 months and one test in one month of each subject. You have to prepare your notes in a very well way to obtain good marks.
