Remarks :

Since I wanted to choose bachelor in business administration [bba] as my undergraduate course so I checked the list of the colleges best for BBA course in Delhi and found 2-3 colleges best suited for me like Jims vk-2, iitm greater Noida and technical institute of advanced studies, Pitampura. I registered myself for all the 3 colleges and applied for the entrance exam of all of them. once I completed the registration process, the very next day I got a call from the college premises of jims vk-2 and iitm, greater Noida so as to confirm all my details and to let me know my entrance exam date. later on, decided to give an entrance exam for jims vk-2 and not for iitm, greater Noida because it is easier for me to travel to Vasant kunj every day than greater Noida. so, finally, i gave the entrance exam along with a telephonic personal interview with the senior faculty of the college for jims vk-2 and luckily I cleared both the exam and the interview and got a confirmation letter from the college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose BBA as my undergraduate course as I want to take up COMPANY LAW OR CORPORATE LAW as a course in my post-graduation and this requires the strong basics of ACCOUNTING, TAXATION, ECONOMICS, BUSINESS LAW, BUSINESS MANAGEMENT, etc which are being taught in BBA course. The faculty of JIMS VK-2 is highly Qualified and experienced. Every teacher has done mastery and gained years of experience in their own specific field and subjects. Every teacher tries to teach their specific subjects in the best possible way by relating the topics with real-world examples so that the students get more clarity and knowledge for a particular concept. They always support and motivate the students as much as they can. In every semester, the students are supposed to give exams twice namely INTERNAL MIDTERM EXAMS for 30 marks each and END TERM EXAMS BY UNIVERSITY which is for 70 marks each. Other than this, 2 assignments are given for every single subject which is for 10 marks each.

Internships Opportunities :

I also can't mention much detailed information about the Internship Opportunities that are being provided by the college since i m in 2nd semester right now and as per the college criteria, I m not eligible for the Internships as well as the students who are in 3rd semester and above are provided with the official internship opportunities by the college. Since, all the work has shifted to the available online platforms in the every sector in the economy due the Covid-19 pandemic period, our faculty members have still managed to provide us with some internship opportunities provided by the companies like GOOGLE, NYAKA, AMAZON etc that are being arranged and conducted online only for the college students. The ones who were interested in the internship opportunities provided on unofficial basis by the teachers did applied over those links and 3 students from our batch got selected also for the internship in one of the big and reputed company dealing in different kinds of social works in the society

Placement Experience :

Since I m a First-year student only, so I really can't comment on the detailed information about the campus placements in our college. Generally, Placements are being provided to the students after the completion of the 2nd year by the college itself. All big companies and MNC's do come with different offers and packages for the students so as to provide the campus placements to all the college students. Everybody is given a chance to apply for campus placements and the ones who clear the examination round and interview round as per their [comapny's] parameters get eligible for the campus placements.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fess for BBA course per year is around rs.100000. The scholarship the oppurtunity is also being provided by the college itself in 3 different catergories. They are:- 1. 15% scholarship over 3 years of fees for the students who gained 75-80% marks in 12th board examination. 2. 25% scholarship over 3 years of fees for the students who gained above 80% in 12th board eamination. 3. 50% scholarship for the students who gained above 90% marks in 12th board examination.

Campus Life :

My college life is completely from what I thought it would be. Since this Covid-19 pandemic period is going on and all the classes are being conducted over the online platform only but still it never feels like we are away from our teachers or our fellow mates with no physical contact. Every single person whether it's our teachers or our mates, Everyone is always ready to help each other in the best possible way. The books and the journals available in the library as far as I know are related to different subjects of different courses that are being taught in the college. The classroom of the college are properly structured and maintained along with the basic amenities like proper hygiene and each classroom has the facility of AC as well. Other than academics, the college has introduced 2 main clubs for BBA students namely BUSINESS ACTIVITIES CLUB and ROTARACT CLUB that are being run by the students under the guidance of the teachers, and different activities are arranged and conducted.

Interview Experience :

yes, I did face the written exam along with a personal interview via phone call for admission to this college. The main categories of the questions for the written exam were CURRENT AFFAIRS, QUANTITATIVE APTITUDE, VERBAL AND COMMUNICATIVE APTITUDE, and GENERAL KNOWLEDGE. In a personal interview, the first thing that is generally asked is the self-introduction of the student including the choice of the stream and subjects in class 11th and 12th and then later on the questions that are being asked are:- 1. why did you choose this college as an institute for your undergraduate course? 2. why did you choose BBA as your undergraduate course? 3. some subject-related questions from class 11th and 12th? 4. and lastly where do you see yourself in the next 3-5 years? so that's the type of questions that are being asked while taking Personal Interviews. The criteria for admission are as simple as clearing the entrance exam along with a personal interview with a reasonable % of 50 and above.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As my Course is a professional so the ciriculum is really good and it's based on real life as well however teaching hindi and some extra subjects which don't help us doesn't make sense to me and I believe that more focus should be given on development of communication skills.

Placement Experience:

Maharaja Surajmal Institute is value for money. Placements: Almost everybody in the BBA course were placed. The highest placement in 2024 is Rs. 7,50,000. The average package in 2024 is Rs. 3,50,000. Recruiting companies include Federal Bank, Upgrade, etc. Students who got the internship from Bachelois in Business Administration are less likely to get it, as college doesn't help. Infrastructure: The quality of infrastructure is very poor in Maharaja Surajmal Institute. The library and labs are good but the classrooms don't have ACs. The quality of food available in the canteen is average. Don't join this college if you want to excel in sports. Hostel quality is very poor too. You won't find ACs in rooms. Moreover, there are Indian toilets, which are outdated. Faculty: Few teachers are seriously irritating and focus more on attendance than the quality of their teaching. A BBA course, in my opinion, doesn't make you job-ready but gives a basic outline of the job role and responsibilities

Placement Experience:

Campus placements start the 5th semester onwards, although the package is very low given the current status of courses of BBA and BCom Hons in the country with not much scope in the market, also the amount of students getting placements is very low with some decent companies although my plans after getting a degree from here is to pursue MBA.
