Remarks :
I tried many colleges in Nagpur for my bachelor's degree like Institute Of Science, Mathuradas Mohata Science College, Dharampeth Science College, Hislop College and so many but I personally feel for Shivaji Science College, Congress Nagar, Nagpur It fulfills all my criteria like location, fees, teaching faculty, etc. Also, my marks were quite good in HSC and SSC (1st division) so I easily got admission there. The admission process was quite easy and the college faculty were all there for any help if required. First, I had to fill the online admission form then I got shortlisted for admission based on my previous qualifications like marks in 10 and 12 boards. Then I had to visit the college to submit my admission form and my college fees. Within a week my admission got confirmed and I got my seat in my preferred course. Admission fees were also fairly low as compared to other institutes/colleges. Though I had to pay the full admission fees as I didn't fir for any quota in the college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bachelorette degree in science in chemistry subject as I was pretty sure about my subject from the very start. Also, the faculty in this college was so good and very professional. There was about 8 to 10 faculty for each subject and all teachers were highly qualified from big and renewed universities. Also, the teaching methods were new and unique yet interesting and easy to understood. There were 6 semesters and 2 semesters in each year by the university and in between these semesters college used to take unit tests to make students prepares for final sems.
Internships Opportunities :
Internships were provided to the final year selected students with a stipend of about 1 lakh per annum. Companies were from IT industries and the internships were also good. My many got this opportunity for an internship.
Placement Experience :
Placements were available for final year students and great companies like Wipro, Amazon visited and offers placements to the students. I don't know much about packages. I have to go for higher studies, more likely abroad.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There were scholarships available for students depending on their financial status and caste category. I didn't get any scholarships as I belong to the general category. Scholarships were also given to students who excelled in their university exams. The fees were low and I don't know much about the installment facility
Campus Life :
The annual fest and culture functions were not given that much importance, in spite of that quiz competitions and seminar competitions were helped every year. There were fixed two to three programs and my favorite one from them was the traditional day. It was conducted in the middle of the year. The classrooms were spacious with CCTVs and e-classrooms were also available. Sports like cricket and football were given utmost importance and there was a great playground for students to play. Not sure but there was one group run by the college of final year students who held all the programs on the campus.
