Remarks

The admission process is really simple but little time taking. While going to take admission please carry atleast 3 photo copies of your 12th and 10th marksheets and two copies of the registeration form. There will be many seniors who will guide you throughout the admission . The admission incharge will match your best 4 subjects percentage(including one language paper) with the college cut off. After verifying one have to pay one year fee and the admission will be done . The confirmation mail will be sent to the registered mail id. This is the whole procedure.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I had humanities in my 12th and I opted for maths as my 5th paper. After going through the eligiblity criteria i got to know its important to have maths in 12th to be eligible for pursuing economics honours. Economics has a lot of career scope and DRC has one of the best faculties so i chose Economics. The faculty teacher ratio is 1:40. Teachers are higly qualified. Most of them have done PHD and have a teaching exprience of more than 10-15 years. In one semester exams are taken twice . One is a mid semester exam ( unit test) another is semester exam taken in december and may. Exams are difficult . Sometimes questions are really difficult . I have taken tuitions also.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Our college provides ample internship opportuniites. It includes the role of content writer, social media handler ,fund raiser etc. NGOs offering internship opportunity are muskurahat foundation, vishalakshmi foundation, tulsi and more. To develop ones personality i'll prefer to go for internships.

Placement Experience

4

There is no such qualifications required, the companies only see english speaking skills of the candidate. They only check their creative and speaking skills. Commerce students always prefer to go for placement. Companies often offer the post of HR, sales manager, data handler to their employees. The highest package offered last year was 12 lakhs and the lowest was 5 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fee was not much high. But the overall expenditure incurred by an outsider( students from states other than Delhi) is around 15,000 per month, which is really high for a middle-class family. The college provides fee concession of around 10000 for three years. Other than this there is no such scholarship provided. There are some private and govt scholarships for bachelor's students. It includes e-Kalyan, Sardar Patel, NSP, HDFC parivartan scholarship, and many more.

Campus Life

4

The month of March is best for Daulat ram college' students. Fun is at its peak. Every college, every society organizes a fest. It includes DJ night, celebrity night. Celebrities like Badshah, guru Randhawa, mankirat aulakh, tulsi Kumar, and many more. When it comes to the library I won't lie I am not so proud of DRC's library. The books are available but there are barely any tables and chairs in the seat. The college has a big sports complex that includes a gym, jacuzzi bath, tennis court, basket court, etc. You'll get ample opportunities to develop your skills and talents for that there is several societies. Our Dance society and debating society are the best.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the curriculum is decided by delhi university, economics wing and is followed by all the colleges of du, although few topic are often irrevelent which teachers tend to skip. i do feel that curriculum is pretty old and they should introduce new topic which are more related to reak=l world and give us real life experience not just bookish knowledge which is irelevent. they should also ask for students input related to their curriculum, teachers sometimes tedn to just do book reading. internal exmas are taken frequently and difficulty is 3 out of 5

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.

There's a very active placement cell in my college. They conduct placement drives, webinars and workshops. Both the jobs and internships are offered. The best package was of 2024 offering 23 Lpa and the average is around 6 Lpa.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is rightly designed. Plus the teachers often suggest books that can be read from library regarding course topics. The library is very nice here. I used to study in the library for long hours. The exam notes and everything is available at the photocopy shop that's inside the college. Writing this review really made me miss the college more

Placements definitely stands out as passive placement cell of the college is too good. They are quite aggressive and keep attacking us with getting ready for placements. As top corporate house like Big 4 and top Indian conglomerate also comes to our college for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Initially i took this course beacuse i filled it as a backup for coming into delhi university but now i can say that the course is very interesting and it is practically applicable in daily life. Tho the theory exams are quite difficult and subjects like advance mme where max students fail exist but then also it is doable and has market value

Placement Experience:

The college has a placement cell which comes up with lots and lots of internship and job offers throughout the year, you get multiple new job opportunities every week but the campus placement is not all that great, B Com courses have somewhat decent placements. the college doesn't push very much or try much to get students placed, you're on your own.

Placement Experience:

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.
