Remarks

The admission process was easy. Firstly I filled a registration form for Delhi university. I wasn't sure that I would be able to make it to Delhi University .So I chose 5 subjects for my bachelor's paper. and it was a smart move. At least I was sure that I could get admission at least in one course. When DU released its first cut I took out a hard copy of Daulat ram college with political science as my honors paper. The admission incharge verified my percentage from 12th marksheet and my date of birth from my 10th marksheet. There were many seniors who helped me out. After I got my marksheet verified. I was given a confirmation letter . After paying the fee of a year. My admission was done. But in case you are changing college ,first get your marks verified in the 2nd college. Withdraw your admission from 1st college. 1000 rupees will be fined but the remaining amount will be transferred to the 2nd college's fee.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

History is a subject of interest. You can learn from your past and can be prepared for your present. I always heard from my seniors that Daulat Ram College has the best faculties and can provide a platform to develop our confidence and personality. I also wanted to pursue a career in teaching so I chose history. The student-faculty ratio is 98: 1. The teachers are highly qualified and are well versed in explaining topics and related to our daily lives. They teach so sweetly that you'll find a friend in them. Exams were taken twice in a year called semester exams, while after every two months there is a class test taken by the professor to inculcate a habit of practicing. It was not so difficult to pass on exams if you are studying at least two hours a day you will score above 8 CGPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

For the Humanities students, the fee is 15980 per year. Includes all kinds of fees like examination fee electricity fee library fee College ID card fee it includes everything. There was no such fee hike. No such expenses on books. Daulat ram college provides a fee concession of about 10000 per year for students who are not from strong financial backgrounds. The national scholarship portal provides scholarships of rupees 10000 every year for three years. Anyone who has scored more than 95% in their class 12th can avail this scholarship.

Campus Life

4.5

Life at the campus is just amazing you get the chance to explore things, you will grow you will make friends, you will make memories, you meet people from different colleges. Life is interesting at DRC. Every year in the month of March Daulat Ram college has its annual fest called manjhari. Famous singers DJ groups come every year and make the environment happy. The library is not that good, one part of the library is under construction for the last three years. Classrooms are quite big and some classrooms also have ACs. There are a number of societies and clubs for the development of students it includes debating society, Singing society ,drama society, NSS ,NSo ,NCC.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the curriculum is decided by delhi university, economics wing and is followed by all the colleges of du, although few topic are often irrevelent which teachers tend to skip. i do feel that curriculum is pretty old and they should introduce new topic which are more related to reak=l world and give us real life experience not just bookish knowledge which is irelevent. they should also ask for students input related to their curriculum, teachers sometimes tedn to just do book reading. internal exmas are taken frequently and difficulty is 3 out of 5

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.

There's a very active placement cell in my college. They conduct placement drives, webinars and workshops. Both the jobs and internships are offered. The best package was of 2024 offering 23 Lpa and the average is around 6 Lpa.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is rightly designed. Plus the teachers often suggest books that can be read from library regarding course topics. The library is very nice here. I used to study in the library for long hours. The exam notes and everything is available at the photocopy shop that's inside the college. Writing this review really made me miss the college more

Placements definitely stands out as passive placement cell of the college is too good. They are quite aggressive and keep attacking us with getting ready for placements. As top corporate house like Big 4 and top Indian conglomerate also comes to our college for placements.

Initially i took this course beacuse i filled it as a backup for coming into delhi university but now i can say that the course is very interesting and it is practically applicable in daily life. Tho the theory exams are quite difficult and subjects like advance mme where max students fail exist but then also it is doable and has market value

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is done in the 3rd year. The highest PPO given is 24,00,000 to auditing and taxation departments. Average package is about ?15,00,000 to ?18,00,000. Companies like Eay, KPMG and more visit our college for placement. Most students under the commerce department get offered internships. Other than this, the placement cell also actively keeps sending internship opportunities for students to enhance their profiles. I am an English honours student l, thus there is no placement option for me directly unless I take up options from the P-Cell. I have already interned at EY India, Gurgaon, as a forensics and risk management specialist( throigh personal referral). My knowledge (attained from DCAC) of research, report and article writing were used adequately.

Placement Experience:

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.
