Remarks :
The management is strict. I'd say filter out a few faculties and improve a few lab facilities and the collage would be just great. On the bad remarks there is no hostel and most annoying, the collage is far from the cities both Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.
Entrance Preview :
Lateral entry student, so admission directly into 2nd year after completing diploma. No entrance test are required.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course structure is fairly even with respect to the course but its a bit outdated and not updated to the recent trends. The course structure is controlled by the Gujarat Technological University which supervises the collage. The collage offers a lot of extracurricular and course related workshops to tackle the recent trends issue with the course. And all such courses are open to all students so anyone from any course can attend the workshops.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes there is internship and placement cell in the collage. Its well herd of that companies come for in campus interviews, I still haven't experienced it as I am in 3rd year. But fingers crossed hoping its good.
Placement Experience :
The placement system as I've herd is well managed and also mentioned the job opportunities by giants like Essar, Adani and others. Though I've yet to experience this part, what I've herd from seniors the its just OK and a above average in the prospect of the companies that come.
College Events :
Now this is the part in which the collage shines out. There are events going throughout the semester and are celebrated on an enormous scale. They are very fun to participate. The technical events are the ones which offer great deal of knowledge to the ones that are interested in them. There are EDM, DJ parties,Cultural parties and more that are fun. Mostly nobody misses out on them.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is mostly feasible in comparison to other collages. It rounds up to 63000 Rs. yearly for BE excluding transportation facilities. The fees can be paid yearly or for each semester which is 6 monthly fee payment. But the transport costs are high as the collage is located too far from the city.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yes there are scholarship facility available. They are mostly set up by the government of Gujarat. As for loans many banks provide education loans but haven't heard any of them in the collage as the fees is feasible.
Campus Life :
The sports competition organised by the collage are great. They are mostly around the time of youth festival and sports week. The laboratories are sub par and not that good. Outdated equipment and lacking a few machines in lab is a common issue. The campus life is good and filled with diversity. Gender ratio is fairly even but bit more towards guys, but hey that is the national situation of the country.
Hostel Facilities :
This is the biggest drop out point of the collage. It doesn't have any hostel or such facilities. So there is noting to write about that. There are other hostels and living facilities nearby which are not managed by the collage. But the collage should have a hostel facility present.
Alumni/Alumna :
Seniors are mostly great to even hang out with. Not a single glimpse of ragging or such activities in the collage. They are co operative and helpful to get you out of any hassle you are stuck in.
Exam Structure :
The exam structure is also decided by the Gujarat Technological University which the collage strictly follows. It has external exam aka finals of 70 marks mids or internals of 20 and presentations for 10 marks. 50 marks are from term work and student evaluation. The term leaves students with sleepless nights as all the exams and term work is mostly taken at the end of semester while semester beginnings and half way through are mostly free. I would say this is a imbalanced structure but its fine.
Admission :
The admission procedure is online except the management quota. The online procedure is conducted by ACPC (Admission Committee For Professional Courses). The process is fairly easy. The admission in the collage deepens upon the merit number and final score from pass out university.
Faculty :
The faculty has its ups and downs. A few are very experienced and good at teaching techniques while many others not so much. I'd say mostly the fresher and new faculties are not so good as many of them get confused by questions and lack explaining skills. But this does not go for all new as some are very great at teaching and full with industry experience and offer good insight for the future preparations. I would recommend installing a faculty review program by senior faculty and students.
