Entrance Preview :

CAT - 88 percentile, Fees was less and I heard that its reputation is good in terms of placement. Interview was held through 3 panel members for 10-15 minutes. No tricky questions were asked.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course structure is same as in ordinary MBA college. There are 4 Semester of 4 - 4 and 1/2 months each. In third semester you get an option to choose your electives. Good thing is that over here Dual specialisation is provided i.e. you can opt for Marketing & Finance or Marketing & HR at the same time. Please note that institute offers Plain Vanilla type of MBA.

Internships Opportunities :

For internship you are left at your efforts. College based internship are restricted to few marketing companies or broking arms. Forget stipend over here, in some cases you have to pay yourself for the same. It is better to find your own link to do internship in some good organisation. As in my case my good friend helped in getting internship from SAIL, Bhilai. I had not got any stipend for the same, but we got accommodation.

Placement Experience :

In one word Pathetic. Hardly any company visit in the campus. Whatever companies visit over here are mostly from Insurance sector (in search marketing agents for their policies) or one or two from telecom sector. Though our previous batch was lucky in getting placement (approx. 30%) in few good companies, while in our batch I hardly remember if anyone has got campus placement barring 5-10 students.

College Events :

Events - 2-3 Seminars (so called International Seminar), Cricket Tournament, Skits and Annual Function (cultural events of B.tech college). If you are looking for extra curricular events or development through these activities, then you are living in myth world especially in this college. Barring 2-3 annual events mentioned as above, there is nothing to write about.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure is feasible. You can pay fees in half yearly installments. Further, you can opt for college hostel or private hostels also nearby the college. Scholarship for lower income group students are offered from government, you have to check your eligibility. So if you are looking to have a Plain Vanilla MBA at low cost, this college is ready to go for you.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yes, you can obtain loan from bank (depends on your father job and paying capacity). In terms of scholarship government scholarship is offered to lower income group students.

Exam Structure :

Again Plain vanilla. 2 sessionals followed by Semester exam from AKTU (previously known as UPTU) followed in each and every semester. You can imagine that students prefer guides(known as Thakur) to pass these exams, though our group preferred notes from college and self notes and few pointers from Thakur.

Faculty :

Faculty are average over here, where they mainly focus on covering course structure and providing you notes. With the time quality has degraded, since few good faculties during our time has moved outside for better opportunity. Hardly any case studies are discussed over here.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd semester of the course, students become eligible for final placements. ISAB is maintaining 100% final and summer internship placements since its inception and we are looking forward to maintaining the record. The placement cell is very active and supports students in their campus placement ventures.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course of agribusiness because like after BSc in agriculture you can go for MSc in agriculture or MBA in agribusiness. I don't want to prepare for Ph.D. in the government sector so there is a better scope of an MBA in the private sector rather than an MSc in agriculture. Another reason for doing MBA is placement. The placement ratio of MBA students is better than m.sc students and salaries are also good. Another reason is in the private sector and MBA degree holders will get better promotions than average MSc degree holders. On my campus, there are 46 students in MBA agribusiness and 7 to 80% of them will surely get a minimum package of 350000 and a maximum package of 8 lacs. The guest faculty of MBA agribusiness is quite good. There are some teachers who are not as good as others but there is a 100% guarantee of course completion. Semester exams are not quite easy or too difficult if you will focus a little bit on your studies you will easily get pass. Semester exams are delayed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The trimester exam was there and it is pretty difficult to pass and have very good projects to work on plus the faculty is very good for finance. I am fortunate to be here. All the faculty is doctorate who are teaching plus have a very wide range of practical experience and links at big companies. The faculty is approachable. The college is very regular in respect of course and exam schedule. The course provides in-depth knowledge and exposure to students to real-life problems.

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for internships in any semester but for jobs, they are eligible by their end year only. Companies like Wipro, Paytm, Byjus, HSBC bank, Amazon visits the campus in the management department and almost 65 percent of the students get internship easily based on their skills. And for jobs, the highest package in management was 12 lakhs per annum and the average is 4 to 5 lakhs per annum.
