Entrance Preview :

I gave the GMAT entrance exam and I got a score of 720. I was working in ITC at the time and i had 5 years work ex. I wanted to enter a B School that was world renowned and tailored for professionals with work.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum was very extensive and extremely implementable in the real life business scenario. The first four terms were compulsory courses and the last four were electives. I learnt a lot through both the set of course contents across the 8 terms. Some of the really insightful electives were- Negotiation Analysis (NEGA), Marketing Strategy (MARKSTRAT) and some others.

Internships Opportunities :

Given that this is a one year course. ISB does not provide any internship opportunities. However there is something called the ELP or the experiential learning program in which students can take up case studies that have been given to the school by different corporate organisations and solve them.

Placement Experience :

There were 750 students who were placed during my year which included the Mohali as well as the Hyderabad campus. Some of the companies that came to campus are Aditya Birla Group - 26 Lacs , Mckinsey - 22 Lacs , BCG - 23 Lacs , Parthenon - 35 Lacs , Deloitte - 20 lacs , EnY - 16 lacs PWC - 18 Lacs , Amazon - 20 - 40 Lacs, Flipkart - 20 - 30 Lacs.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee is for 26 Lac. Tuition - 24 Lac . This includes all the course material and other content that is absolutely necessary for the student to take up the course . Stay - 1 Lac / 2 Lac - This depends on the type of accomodation that the student chooses. While a 4 sharing is available there is also a studio option available for students who are married .

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I had availed of a loan from the Union Bank Of India. I got an interest percentage of 10.25%. I would recommend this to other students as well . i did not receive any scholarship.

Campus Life :

The campus life was amazing. There was a healthy gender ratio and there was a lot of enthusiasm there . Many of the students there were used to the rigmarole of work life and this year was a good opportunity for them to take a break from the mundane life and learn as well as interact with a diverse set of people with whom they might have otherwise not interacted.

Alumni/Alumna :

The alumni network is quite strong and they are very helpful . I have myself helped a lot of the new batch students with resume reviews and analysis of their applications and I have amply received this help from my seniors as well.

Exam Structure :

It was quite a hectic course and there was very little chilling out especially during the first four terms. The terms latest only 1.5 months so we had tests every week across all subjects. The course structure also necessitated that we do a lot of class participation which was only possible if we read the course material before the next class .

Remarks:

IBS has the reputation of one of the best B-Schools in the country, offering innovative and globally accepted programs and great opportunities for all-round development. I heard this from my college , who was a alumni of this institute and convinced me to pursue my Master?Ûªs from there. For online application, I filled the form available on the official website (www.ibshyderabad.org) followed by online application fee payment around ?â_1000. I had to submit 12th marksheet in which I scored 82%, graduation marksheet with 78% and appeared for CAT exam scoring 150 and deposited documents supprting work experience for at least 2 years. After following the process I got selected for personal interview round.

Admission:

I was called for the personal interview that was taken by team of 3 senior professors. They questioned me about current affairs and my opinion on certain issues. I was really confident in answering and able to answer all the questions. Finally I was selected!

Placement Experience:

From the 4th Semester, we are eligible for placements. As I'm the Second semester I have not attended placements, but I have attended internships a lot from the college. Avg package of college in the past few years are 5 LPA. First class students get opportunities more to get placements. By getting off from college I need to get a good placement and then wanna start a business by using the tips learnt from college.

From the third semester, regular MBA people will be able to sit in campus interview s. In the case of pgpxp students, the placenta will also generally start by the end of 3 semesters. It is 100 percent placement for the academic year 2019-20

Remarks:

Campus Life, exposure, AVG CTC. I have been in the college and I felt about various disciplines that the organisation teaches. Mentioned points are the reason for my selection of the college. It's easy then other colleges to get addmission in any one of IBS campuses but if you want IBS Hyderabad then you need to work on it.

Placement Experience:

I would say it's hard for you to get unplaced in the program though it may happen you wouldn't be getting your dream job but according to your performance you will be placed as placement cell team of IBS Hyderabad is good.
