College management is very supportive and welcomes every change which is good for us, but they are very sensitive for the attendants.
Entrance Preview :
I took HSEB board exams and GUJCET exam I which I scored 65% overall.The main reason for which I choose this college is because it is a little outside of city but not too far and it also has very good and large campus which covers colleges of B.Com, Law, Architect, MBA, Pharmacy, BCA and MCA and all with good reviews too.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The whole course curriculum is controlled and monitored by Gujarat Technological University. Bachelor of engineering graduation degree needs 4 years or 8 semesters of study. Each semester contains series of lectures and practicals followed by two mid-semester examinations and a final theory exam held by University.
Internships Opportunities :
No, the college doesn't provide an internship. But the college helps the students by inviting different companies for campus interviews.
Placement Experience :
There were approximately 100 student placement were done last year, companies like Ford, Blue star, and Bharat plasto industry came for placement. The offer is based on the skill and smartness of particular student and also based on the CGPA of the student. CGPA is the average SPI(semester performing index) of the last four semesters. The companies create bonds for several years or months with the students and monitors their performances later then the increment or the future bond decided.
College Events :
Our college celebrates Gujarat technological university tech fest, innovation fest we also celebrate the Garba Mahotsav for two days we also celebrated engineers day, Gujarat startup support program, student startup program even the chief minister of Gujarat madam Anandi ben Patel came to inaugurate the tech fest and gave a speech to encourage and to bring more and more ideas from the engineering field.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is based on per semester in which a student need to submit a cheque before the start of the semester examination the fees changes every year for different admission of new batches but remains same for the particular admission for entire four years but I am giving 29775Rs. per semester for 8 semesters.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
My college does provide the scholarship for the backward cast of students in which the amount of the scholarship is almost 80 to 85% of the college fees.
Campus Life :
Gender ratio varies from department to department but the overall ratio of the collage is about 65 - 70% boys and 35-30% of girls, the campus life is very good due to the various stream and department in a single campus and which also helps in sports for teaming the college. Our college is quite a sports enthusiast because it has top players of basket ball, football, cricket, volleyball, table tennis etc. tech-fest also held in our college which encourages the robotics and automation and combat and defense skills of students.
Hostel Facilities :
There is no hostel services are provided by the college but they do provide mess facility. Canteen provides packed food as well as fast food and desi Gujarati or Punjabi thali, Chinese and beverages the price of the food varies from 5 rupees to 150 rupees depend on the type of food. The quality of food is average and the cleanliness of canteen is also average, the services are poor too.
Alumni/Alumna :
I had very less experience with senior due to the life of our own in the college but they are very kind and helpful while we are participating in any local and national events. LJ COE (centre of excellence) was made by our seniors by which we are able to participate in various robotic events such as ROBOCON and BAJASAE.
Exam Structure :
The exams schedule is very hectic because the Gujarat technological university allocated only one mid semester examination per semester followed by one final semester exam held by Gujarat technology university, But LJIET has two mid-semester examinations instead of one, college considers the average of two mid-semester exams and gives marks according to the GTU one mid semester exam rule.
Admission :
The college is AICTE affiliated and GTU approved, so the admission process is same for all AICTE affiliated college in which the admission process starts with an admission booklet which is to be collected from a nationalized bank with a fee of somewhat around 500Rs. in which you get login credentials. Using these credentials you need to enter all your HSEC and GUJCET details later then you will get a student rank based on your marks and the students applied for admission across all Gujarat.Later than you need to choose 5 colleges from a list of AICTE approved colleges. You will get admission based on your rank and rank of students applied to the particular college, after the conformations of admission you need to reach the college with the confirmation letter along with one fee cheque to the respected college, in my case it was L.J institute of engineering and technology.
Faculty :
There are lots of qualified faculties out there in LJIET(L. J Institute of engineering and technology). The eligibility criteria of the faculty are based on the complexness of subject in which less complex subjects can be handled by Bachelor of Engineering degree having faculty and more complex subjects are handled either by experienced Bachelor of Engineering faculty or Master of engineering faculties.
