Remarks

The admission process was really easy. I just took a token from the admission desk and then many seniors helped me to reach that room where the process was going on. The admission in charge verified my 10th and 12th mark sheet. After verifying, I received a form, I filled it and then I was told to pay the fee. And the admission was done.

Course Curriculum Overview

Exams are always taken twice a year these are called semester exams. But thought the year there will be a class test or unit test to check our performance. The semester exams are a little tough but if you are a hardworking student and you have at least attempted all the 4 questions out of 8, you surely will pass. If you have written all the answers nicely you will secure sgpa between 7-8.

Internships Opportunities

I never applied for any internships but at the end of every year, the placement cell of our colleges invites more than 30 companies to hire new interns. On a personal level, I don't have any such experience to share related to projects and their outcomes.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for my stream was 15,880 per year. I have paid 35,000 per year in my school days so I didn't find the fee to be high but at the same time, many students belonged to poor families so they received a fee exemption of 10,000 per year that means they had to pay 5,880 per year. There were no extra charges. Though if you are an outsider you'll probably have to spend 10,000 monthly on lodging + food. - I never applied for any financial assistance scheme or a job. My main focus was on my academics.

Campus Life

There are many social group and clubs for students. I myself was a part of the theatre society, it really boosted my confidence in the first year. There are social organisations like NSS, and certificates signed by NSS is really important for making for CV strong. There are many other societies including debating society, dance society, music society, photography and many more.

the curriculum is decided by delhi university, economics wing and is followed by all the colleges of du, although few topic are often irrevelent which teachers tend to skip. i do feel that curriculum is pretty old and they should introduce new topic which are more related to reak=l world and give us real life experience not just bookish knowledge which is irelevent. they should also ask for students input related to their curriculum, teachers sometimes tedn to just do book reading. internal exmas are taken frequently and difficulty is 3 out of 5

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.

Placements is for 3rd year students. Many good companies visit our campus like bajaj capital, oberoi group. Highest package is around 22 lakhs. We have a lot of internship and placement opportunities come in for students.

Course is rightly designed. Plus the teachers often suggest books that can be read from library regarding course topics. The library is very nice here. I used to study in the library for long hours. Honest review of Pros and Cons of DCAC

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is done in the 3rd year. The highest PPO given is 24,00,000 to auditing and taxation departments. Average package is about ?15,00,000 to ?18,00,000. Companies like Eay, KPMG and more visit our college for placement. Most students under the commerce department get offered internships. Other than this, the placement cell also actively keeps sending internship opportunities for students to enhance their profiles. I am an English honours student l, thus there is no placement option for me directly unless I take up options from the P-Cell. I have already interned at EY India, Gurgaon, as a forensics and risk management specialist( throigh personal referral).My knowledge (attained from DCAC) of research, report and article writing were used adequately.

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.

Insights into DRC

After appearing for CUET UG, we make preferences of the desired college and on the basis on the CUET score, colleges are alloted. So, Daulat Ram College was my 7th preference and I was alloted this as per my category and cut off I cleaned. Although it was 7th preferred college, I have no regret of getting into it. North or south DRC is the best

The admission process was so long and time taking.There is entrance exam that is CUET for admission in delhi University.The admission will be on the basis of cut off.
