Remarks

I applied for Indra prastha college i got selected there but i was eligible for daulat ram college during the fifth cut off. I preferred daulat ram college over Indra prastha college since it is on North campus. I availed Scheduled Tribe quota, i got admission there. Being studied commerce in 11th and 12th , so I continued with the same course bachelor of commerce. I had maths in 12 so i was eligible for opting honors in bachelor of commerce. Delhi University released a timely cut off , the cut-off is different of courses to different categories. The admission process was through merit basis if you fall under the cut off released by Delhi university , one is eligible to take admission form, the teacher coordinator reviewed all the documents which we were supposed to bring on the day and also categories certificate if one is taking admission through quota . Admission was organised without any chaos. After the completion of admission process we were asked to deposit the fees timely

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I had commerce with maths in 11 and 12 standards wanted to continue with what i studied earlier and also because i like subjects like business and accountancy. I personally like the commerce department of daulat ram college . Most importantly it's a women college very comfortable to go to college without feeling much of anxious about the type of clothes we love to wear be it very casual to very fancy according to one's preferences. The classroom is fun there's 3 section and around 40 students in each section. Personally like many teachers method of teaching, but I don't like teachers who just dictates like its difficult to understand some practical subject by just dictating.

Internships Opportunities

5

The internship opportunity is great I got an internship opportunity from the annual fest of placement for an NGO. The internship was for 1 month divided into weeks and we had to complete certain tasks weekly and by end of the internship we are expected to complete all the tasks told during the orientation. It was mostly a field task so enjoyed a lot.

Placement Experience

0.5

From the 3rd semester students become eligible for campus placement. Around 100+ companies visited last time for the placement cell fest. Some companies visited are bajaj capital, decathlon, tarzan and many more there are only a few companies who are looking for campus placement other than that other companies were looking for interns for the only a specific time period

Fees and Financial Aid

I felt the fees of daulat ram college are slightly more than other colleges of Delhi University. By looking at the infrastructure of Daulat ram college it's unfair to take this much amount, other good colleges of Delhi University with very good infrastructure and facilities have less fee structure. According to me, daulat ram college should reconsider the fee structure.

Campus Life

4.5

I love campus life though the infrastructure is not so great i genuinely love the people, I joined many societies continued few who helped me improve myself. Jalsa is the annual fest conducted by drc it ia conducted mostly in mid-February. There's a lot of scope for ones who like to participate in extracurricular activities such as different societies. For sports, i have seen kho kho , kabadi been playing i am sure there's more.

Since it is open learning university..they couldn't give us time.. because the class also got started 1 month before exam...and teachers had to finish...the syllabus. But they don't really care about us. And syllabus I think is okay .. in Commerce. It is updated.

Placement Experience:

After completing 4 semester you are eligible to sit into on-campus placements i.e. after completing your second year. Companies start to arrive in final year or pre final year of you're going for 4 year degree. Big 4 companies like Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PWC and other companies like accenture, zomato, airtel can be seen in placement season. Average package is 4-5 LPA ranging from college to college and depends individual skill set and practical experience. Highest could go upto 22LPA in our college. Half of the students gets placed during the season but not all. After competition of degree students can pursue various courses like CA, CS or praper for CAT/GMAT.

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Placements are pretty much above average in our college, better than many of the off campuses colleges as well as some of the South campuses colleges. * students are eligible for campus placements from the very beginning of their college. From the first year itself. * Companies such as Delloite, Genpact, KPMG and many more tier A, tier B and tier C companies visits to our campus. *Highest Package is 21 laks PA * Average is somewhere around 4-5 lakhs * Being in the placement cell i can assure you that there are n number of profiles offered. * Obviously planning to getting placed through the college itself.
