Remarks :

The admission process was straightforward. The only way to get admission here is through JEE Main. First, you need to clear the exam then appear in the counselling. If your rank is good enough then surely you will get this college. There is nothing like minimum marks but the closing rank varies between 5000 to 10000.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I opted for Computer Science and Engineering just because of my interest in this field. There are nearly 700 students and 30- 40 faculties. All the faculties have done the PhD. Exams are held in time for offline mode but in the case of online, it depends on the subject faculty. Exams are based on the things which are thought in class.

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 263500 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Just like placements, an internship is also good here. Many students have got internship opportunities in big companies like FiniQ, National Instruments, Persistent Systems, Jio, Goldman Sachs etc. 100% of students were offered an internship. Most of the projects were based on development.

Placement Experience :

Students become eligible for the placement from the 7th semester. Since IIIT Pune is a new college so very few companies come here but some of them are dream companies of students. Companies : Microsoft, Nutanix, Jio, Rakuten, Gojek, Persistent etc. The highest package is 42 LPA. The average package is 8 LPA. Job offers were mainly related to software developer engineer.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The first-year fees are nearly 263500 rupees. After that, you need to pay 2.5 lacs per year. There is no fee waiver in this college. Various central level, as well as state-level scholarship, are provided but you must be eligible for that. You may face problem like application rejection if you provide any wrong information. College provides various on-campus job opportunities. If you are good at coding then surely you will get one.

Campus Life :

We celebrated c'est la vie in 2018 since then no annual fest has been conducted. I conclave is the official tech fest of this college. The Library of IIIT Pune is very good. All important books are available in the library. They provide various newspapers, journals also. Many sports are played here like cricket, football, basketball, table tennis, volleyball, chess, carrom, badminton etc. We conduct our own sports fest Eklavya. There are many clubs in IIIT Pune like vanity (dance), Bit Legion (coding), Rofies (robotics), drama club etc.

Hostel Facilities :

I would say hostels are good. College charge 24000 per year for the hostel. Sometimes there are some water problems. There are 5 canteens inside the campus. You can join any of them. They charge nearly 2000 - 3000 per month it varies from the canteen to canteen.

LIFE at VIT

Placement Experience:

Students from the 7th semester onwards are eligible for campus placements. Core Biomedical companies like GE, Medtronics, biosense etc and IT companies like TCS, JIO, INFOSYS, CAPGEMINI etc Recruit Biomedical Engineers. Most Biomedical Students prefer Masters over placements. 80 percent of students from selected candidates get placed. I will go for Placements and I will get into post graduation after clearing GATE 2023.
