My journey at RIM, Bengaluru

Remarks :

Overall facilities provided and most importantly the placement of the college is too good. Also, my cousin had already completed her post-graduation from here and got placed in top notch company and this made to go for this college. Getting into RIM was not that tough, as I only filled the application form with all the required details like 12th and Graduation's marks and the score of CAT exam and paid the application fee of Rs. 750 as well. Also, I had gone through Personal Interview round which was too easy to crack. And since I told about my cousin sister, after her recommendation, I checked the official website and proceeded further.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is good after all the syllabus is well prepared, other activities like workshops, seminar, conferences are conducted from time to time. Also, we are taken to industry visit to make us aware of the industrial environment. Apart from all, the main pillar of our department is our faculties who are so supportive, well-experienced, highly qualified, and 24/7 ready to clear the doubts. other than the theoretical knowledge, they also provide industrial knowledge from where they have gained their experiences. Also, before the exams, they provide the important notes, ppt and this make easy for us to clear and get good marks in semester exams.

Placement Experience :

The placement of my college is incredible like 95-100% placements are done on-campus. Though I have not been a part of the placement drive yet I know the whole process. To sit in placement session, first step is to register for placement then making strong resume followed with preparation for interview round. However, in the whole process, the best part is to interact with so many recruiters and overcome the fear of facing GD or interview round. Moreover, the top recruiters who have visited our campus include Axis Bank, Deloitte, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ITC limited, KPMG, Wipro, Mahindra Finance and others. Besides, the highest CTC offered last year was 17 LPA and average salary was 5 LPA.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure for the program I opted for is 750000 for two years. However, there is provision to pay the college fee in installments. Also, since I belong to the general category, there is no such scholarship for us and further, I don't have any idea about scholarship for those belonging to unreserved category.

Campus Life :

Our college conducts so many activities through out the year like RIM Bazar, mind seek drill, tongue twister and so many others. Besides, we have COSCA club that organises Mela for music, entertainment and arts, Ramaiah Habba - a platform where we showcases our talents and to follow the cultural interest. Apart, the infrastructure of my college is too nice as it has digital library, clubs, well furnished classrooms, sports facility, 24 hours WiFi connectivity in the campus. So, the campus with many facilities and the learning environment here made my college life enjoyable.

Admission :

After I got selected for the final round, I had faced the Personal Interview round which was very informal. Questions like what are my plans after completing post-graduation, and why did I opt for this program were asked. During that period, they judged my soft skills, mental aptitude, etiquette etc.

Companies like Deloitte,PWC,EY,KPMG,Broadride,Storeking, trivago,My Captain,Indusland Bank, HDFC bank,Factset, Genpact,Cadbury,Manipal Hospitals and many more companies come for placement. The highest package in my opinion may be around 8.4 lpa and average would be around 5 lpa. The profile offered were mostly Finance analyst, Tax Consultant and marketing. Idk the exact percentage but mostly everyone gets a placement. I would join Deloitte after I receive my offer letter.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum from the university is transferred by the teachers in a digestive manner with all relevant example , live scenarios, case study activities and much more. The exams on average come after 3 months of a semester commencing , the difficulty towards the exam itself is moderate.

Placement Cell is very hardworking and they do provide placement support for all specializations but most of the jobs that are offered are marketing or customer support roles so it's always encouraged to look for job opportunities through other sources as well.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are excellent in Indus Business Academy. Alot of good companies come to the college for the placement and almost all the student get placed in a good company. iIf the student has payed attention in the classes and the tasks assigned then getting into a company is not difficult. The students start getting placed soon after the completion of first year. Compainies like Deloitte, KPMG, PWC, Colgate, Bata , GT and other good companies come to the college every year for the placements every year. The average package offered by the companies is 6.5 CGPA and it may increase this year. The student placement is 100%. I have also been selected in Deloitte for tax profile.
