Here you will get a honest review.

Remarks :

This college has a reputation all over the state as it has well educated and experienced faculty. The admission process is legit with merit based selection. This college could be referred to by others as it allows every student to showcase their talent.

Course Curriculum Overview :

As I'm a science student, I had to opt for B.Tech, and in that, I opted for Mechanical Engineering as it has a got a different skill in itself Also, the faculty-student ratio is good and it never seems to be like there is a shortage of faculty. Qualification of faculty is up to the mark and their teaching method is much more interesting than others. Term exams are well planned with proper management and it is as per the curriculum.

Internships Opportunities :

Internship opportunities are good I guess, though I don't really know much about that, but, probably as much as I have heard from people, it is good. But the students need to work hard to achieve something, else, even if you get admission to a prestigious college or university you won't be able to do anything.

Placement Experience :

From the 5th semester students are eligible to appear for campus placements where they are offered good packages from various companies according to their grades and overall performance in the past years. Students having the desired calibre for getting the designation are given upper hands. Personally, I have no such fixed plans after my graduation. I might try for corporate jobs or pursue further education or try in the defence sector.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees for the B.Tech course is approximately 40000 per semester including end semester fees and other miscellaneous fees. Scholarships are provided to bright students and also to the categories like ST/SC. I can't precisely say about job placement as I'm a fresher, but as much as I have heard about it, placements are good here.

Campus Life :

Campus life is astounding with a lot of learning for a student. Fests are not yet conducted this year due to Covid-19, but there are a lot of creative competitions conducted online for students. The classroom environment is friendly. As much as I have heard, the college is always on the mark for sports activities. Students here are really creative and innovative, our seniors have developed some useful websites too during this pandemic to help the needy.

Hostel Facilities :

A wooden bed is provided with a wall almirah and ceiling fan, also rooms for students vary according to their graduation year. Meal quality is average with average taste and not so long menus. Registration for the hostel can be done by filling a form and providing some necessary documentation. If one preferably wants to stay in PG, then nearby there are established colonies wherein PGs are available with tiffin services at affordable pricing.

Interview Experience :

There is a state level competitive exam known as CGPET and students are selected according to their merit from the result of this exam. Afterwards, there is counselling process where documents required are verified by the officials. Thus, there is no such interview or group discussion by now.

Many top companies visit the campus every year to recruit students for various positions. The placement process at NIT Raipur is managed by the institute's Placement Cell, which conducts Placement Drives, pre-placement talks, and sessions. In general, students become eligible for campus placements from the seventh semester of their B.Tech program, which means that they can participate in the placement process from the beginning of their final year. Several large and recognized companies such as Amazon, Microsoft, Samsung, Infosys, Wipro, Deloitte, Reliance, ONGC, BHEL, etc. recruited the students for placements, and in the year 2021-22, a total of 738 offers were made.
