- Teaching quality and efforts shown buy the teachers are less as compared to other NITs or IITs
- Hostels of the college are not that good you can prefer to stay outside of the college mess food is also average as I tasted its quite a few times

Bit durg is so famous in chhattisgarh for their academics and as well as infrastructure we have idea lab where we can innovate or learn new technologies. So since childhood I have a passion towards study of cars how they work so I pursue mechanical engineering but my dream is slight different it is to become an IAS . I done internships and vocational trainings as well in Drdo Hyderabad as well .. Actually academia is good until teachers were good some of the teachers were too old to teach the concept we require new techniques to teach students about how it works....

It is one of the largest departments in the institute and offers B.E in Mechanical Engineering, M.Tech (Production Engineering) and Ph.D. in several areas of specializations in the discipline. The students can get better placement in NIT Raipur. One will get good opportunities and exposure in the mining branch too. Moreover, the experience at NIT is far better than BIT DURG.
