My journey

Remarks :

Well college is pretty much good in terms of education and projects which makes them stand unique. The admission process is concerned , you will be interviewed and have to write a design entrance test. Pretty much in terms of space , clean and simple , conducts workshops , exporter review sessions , live projects , internships google .

Course Curriculum Overview :

Faculties are pretty much trained and on going entrepreneurs who teach and can give you market knowledge . Pretty much qualified to give you assignments and help you out in your difficulties. Well whatever project you do it should look good enough to satisfy the client .

Internships Opportunities :

Worked as intern and one of the companies offered me a job as well after my degree. There are many projects to be spoken about , but outcomes are pretty much hard and sometimes not in favour but as designer you have to be open if it's not working for client , think every assignment is a real project and make your project in terms of client.

Placement Experience :

From 4th year companies like: white owl , Landor , ABND , STARTING MONDAY 40000 to 20000 per month as far as starting salary is concerned it's not about the percentage and grades its about the portfolio job or keeping a company , to be more precise college teaches you to be an entrepreneur in terms of running a creative studio .

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Some what 20 lakhs for four years and if you have any retakes you got t0 pay 5000 per subject. Did my internship. Well there are some features in college which are highly beneficial for all the students in terms of grades and fees.

Campus Life :

Exhibitions are conducted . There is a small library. AC , projector , marker and white board. Different clubs in college are there ;like student's club and music club for events hyper planning , one of the platforms for students .

Hostel Facilities :

You got to talk to the broker he will get you a PG and a room. All the expenses are at your own college . Somewhat you will get maid to clean up and a cook at your own expense .

Interview Experience :

Finding a problem and giving a visual design solution. Very much simple should be somewhat good at sketching , have some design senses and understanding the nature and emotion of typography and colour palette . Self analysis , research and call of action .

Placement Experience:

We have internships from the second year. This gears us towards industry life. In the summer before the third year, we need to intern for 1-3 months. In the 4th year, we intern for half the year and come back in the 2nd semester for our grand projects. Almost all of our students leave with an internship/job offer at the end of 4 years. This is due to the constant effort of our administration to organise exhibitions that invite industry greats. My plan after Ecole, is to work at a branding agency for a few years before pursuing an MFA in Graphic Design.

Being able to get admission is one of the dream come true for a student. To get admission in such highly competitive world where so many students are applying for a course and wants to follow their passion, it was very difficult to get admission in the college. The application process was simple though.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of the course wants to break status quo and encourage the new innovative methods of learnings and explorings and set new ways. They want the students to feel and experience the design world. The students are also encouraged to learn and develop sensitive emotions so that they can improve their creativity level as well as are able to take up challenges to demonstrate their personal connection with the design philosophy.

This is not a full time course and a student can get admission in a regular full time course side by side. The admission process is easy and it involves the student to be passionate about the course. They check if the student has completed class 10+2 from any recognized school or board.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main purpose of teaching this course to the passionate students is to provide them a pathway through different and distinctive levels of subject competencies and different areas about innovation and depth learning in the field of apparels, fashion and designing. The students are placed under the mentor who have a very good experience.

Candidates should have passed class 10+2 from any recognised university and the minimum percentage isn't required here as the selection criteria. The student can pursue a regular course like Bcom or BA along with this course. You can call the management on the hotline if there's any confusion and they will sort it out.

Placement Experience:

Most of the students start their own fashion house but few of them who are looking for full time job opportunities can contact the college placement department and let them know that they would be looking forward to the job placements offered by the college. They will fill the application form and will be interviewed at the time of the end of the program.

I was always interested in art and sketching in school, which in turn led to an assumption to many close relatives of mine, including my parents, that I will want to surely pursue a career in fine arts or something. My mom surfed more on the internet, and learnt about a design career, which is a combination of common other careers like engineering, architecture and commercial arts.

Admission:

There are 3 main competitive layers of the entrance exam. The first one is theoretical, and for that, many students including me were attending classes. I attended a class every weekend for two years which helped me pass the first theoretical exam of MIT institute of Design. After getting a call from the Institute about my selection, I got ready for my next exam, which was the Studio test.
