Remarks

The college overall was good but I couldn't understand the fee.

Entrance Preview

Its based on merit from HSSLC. The college is outside the main campus in one of the best neighborhood of Delhi. Its quite, clean and safe. Good place to stay for studying.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course is based on the university. It is often considered not systematic since it doesn't include introductory syllabus.

Internships Opportunities

As far as am concern, there is a stipend give by the college to certain students on the submission of income certificate. It goes upto far the admission fee.

Placement Experience

3

The mass com and psychology departments do offer good placements.

College Events

3.5

There is the college fest which is celebrated for days and in which societies also have showcases. The best is the Dj night. There is also department fest in which there are talks, presentation and other educational engagements.

Fee Structure And Facilities

During my time it was 16000rs per annum.

Campus Life

5

Debating society is great. The infrastructure is one of the best in DU. Swimming pool, shooting, rock climbing, archery, etc. are there. Being a women's college it support women empowerment.

Hostel Facilities

3

There are two hostels and the fee varies. Not all students get hostel seat. The one where I stayed was the costly one. The fee differs every semester. The highest is during 1st sem and during my time it was 60,000rs.

Alumni/Alumna

There are many alumni in good position. There is also a page for alumni. The seniors are also great and encourage full participation.

Exam Structure

It is based on the university as far as internals are concern, the faculty doesn't take it light hard competitions.

Faculty

4

The faculty is one of the best in DU. It organised a 2 days seminar during my 6th semester and that is not often seen in other faculties. They really encourage good attendance. Even if the syllabus doesn't have introductory part, they gave good introduction of a certain philosopher.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the curriculum is decided by delhi university, economics wing and is followed by all the colleges of du, although few topic are often irrevelent which teachers tend to skip. i do feel that curriculum is pretty old and they should introduce new topic which are more related to reak=l world and give us real life experience not just bookish knowledge which is irelevent. they should also ask for students input related to their curriculum, teachers sometimes tedn to just do book reading. internal exmas are taken frequently and difficulty is 3 out of 5

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.

There's a very active placement cell in my college. They conduct placement drives, webinars and workshops. Both the jobs and internships are offered. The best package was of 2024 offering 23 Lpa and the average is around 6 Lpa.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is rightly designed. Plus the teachers often suggest books that can be read from library regarding course topics. The library is very nice here. I used to study in the library for long hours. The exam notes and everything is available at the photocopy shop that's inside the college. Writing this review really made me miss the college more

Placements definitely stands out as passive placement cell of the college is too good. They are quite aggressive and keep attacking us with getting ready for placements. As top corporate house like Big 4 and top Indian conglomerate also comes to our college for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Initially i took this course beacuse i filled it as a backup for coming into delhi university but now i can say that the course is very interesting and it is practically applicable in daily life. Tho the theory exams are quite difficult and subjects like advance mme where max students fail exist but then also it is doable and has market value

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is done in the 3rd year. The highest PPO given is 24,00,000 to auditing and taxation departments. Average package is about ?15,00,000 to ?18,00,000. Companies like Eay, KPMG and more visit our college for placement. Most students under the commerce department get offered internships. Other than this, the placement cell also actively keeps sending internship opportunities for students to enhance their profiles. I am an English honours student l, thus there is no placement option for me directly unless I take up options from the P-Cell. I have already interned at EY India, Gurgaon, as a forensics and risk management specialist( throigh personal referral). My knowledge (attained from DCAC) of research, report and article writing were used adequately.

Placement Experience:

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.
