IIT Delhi ensures not only the technical development but rather focuses on the overall development of a person and prepares them to compete to the outside world.

Entrance Preview

I scored 241/360 in IIT-JEE with an all India rank of 614. I opted for IIT Delhi because it is the best in India and it was my dream to get admitted here.

Course Curriculum Overview

The courses equally focuses on the research side also and have advanced courses on Algebra, Cryptography, Number System etc.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, generally the companies which come to hire an intern from this branch pays 50,000 to 75,000 per month with exceptions of some paying even 2,00,000 per month with other benefits like accommodations and travel charges.

Placement Experience

There have been 100% placement for the last 3-4 years with average package being around 12-15 lacks per year.

College Events

Official Cultural Fest - Rendezvous , largest in North India, footfall of over 60,000 people cultural Fest - Speranza, Technical fest - Tryst.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible 52,000 per semester tuition fees + 17,000 per semester mess and hostel fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

Students having family income less than 4 lacks per year are given scholarships. Also students from backward castes are given scholarships. There is also a scholarship for the top 7 percentile of the class in a semester for students of each branch.

Campus Life

Ratio of girls to boys is 1:10 and students from all religions, caste, social backgrounds live together in harmony. There is club for every sort of extracurricular activity such as dance, debating, dramatics, music, arts etc and these clubs are very active throughout the year. Also proper facilities are provided for almost every sport such as cricket, football, basketball, swimming, tennis etc.

Hostel Facilities

Rooms in the hostels are generally sharing and satisfactory and are provided to each and every student unless he opts for day scholar mess food is also pretty descent.

Alumni/Alumna

There is an alumni association in the college and the alumni are more than happy to help anyone who approaches them for any kind of help. A senior helped me prepare for my interview for internship in a company in which he got selected.

We do not generally have a hectic days but the exams are frequent.

The placement was not too good it was bad the main reason was like it have not in better place if student want to grab an offer he do offcampus apply so they get job .The companies visted our collage was tcs ,infosys , wipro and sometime Amazon. The highest pacakge was offers in 2020 for almost like 30LPA after that non of them get that much placement .In simple wprd you are the reason of your too get placed in companies . In our collage not fang companies offerd placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good especially during recession. You're eligible for placements after 3rd year. After 2nd Year you're eligible for Internships. All Big Companies like Google Microsoft Apple Goldmansachs Mckinsey etc. Highest package offered till now in 2025 is 85LPA (Atlassian) Average of CSE is 17 -18 lpa . almost 53% people get placed in 2025 (recession time). See The degree OF DTU has its value. So it gives you an edge while you go for off campus.

The placement rate here is around 70-75% on an avg in all branches and sometimes even higher. After 1st year only , multiple opportunities starts coming . After 1st year and before 2nd year , basically in summer vacation we have to do a compulsory internship (college also provides) and we are provided a credit for that . Then multiple opportunities like GOOGLE STEP ,amacon internship , etc come.

Placement Experience:

From 6 semester all students are eligible for campus placements there are almost more than 30+ companies come to make offers and don't recall the names but almost 34 lakh per annum is the highest package they offer and some lucky students also get 80 lakh per annum package almost 80 percent students get placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In each sem we have to give exams twice - mid terms and end terms. They are not much difficult the level is moderate. Teaching method is also good bit sometimes they are not able to complete the syllabus

The corses are well designed And related to your curiculum evey course are relevent for student the course they provied in first sem are Math,computational thinking,Intoduction to south asia,ENG,Phy. most of collages have mechanical in their first sem where they have to do weilding ,crafting etc which have no use in course of CS.

IITD is an old IIT and has an entrepreneurial atmosphere making it my first choice.I applied for the some other colleges I am comparing with ahead. Fulfilling experience at IITD.

Bachelors is required with 55% atleast. JAM score is required. Cut off for obc was 33 as far as I remember . The entrance test tests your quantitative and qualitative ability. All the details are given on the website of iit delhi or just typing JAM would do. JAM gives you the opportunity to do your msc economics from iits. Admission to IITD occurs through JEE Advanced; In which an individual had to first clear JEE Mains then ADV. They have to prepare for three subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics; concepts must be clear from the base level. As soon as the application form will be released; news will come in newspapers since it's a national-level exam or you can search on the Official Jee mains website. Application fees for Jee Mains in 2022: 650/- and for Jee ADV: 2800/-(not sure). Application dates will be released on the official website. To avail of reservation benefits you must have a category certificate that had been renewed within 6 months from counseling (FOR OBC-NCL). If from SC-ST, then can use any certificate.
