Remarks :

College management is not very good. They are basically want to earn money from college and take its educational life as profession and not as passion.

Entrance Preview :

Admission has been taken on the basis of JEE(AIEEE in 2005). i have taken admission here because i have got very less marks in entrance test. The counseling has been done on the basis of AIEEE marks.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum was good. Some of the faculty members are good in teaching but most of them have been left the college nowadays.

Internships Opportunities :

No company have visited the college for placements at that time we have to go to another place for the purpose of placements. There was no stipend or scholarships for students. I have heard that nowadays college management is putting efforts for the placement of students and calling some companies.

Placement Experience :

In 2009 the placement was very poor. Only 2 or 3 students of cse was placed. Nowadays the admissions in the college is very low and hence college is putting efforts for the placements of students and almost many students have been placed. But the packages are very low like upto 1.5 lakh average.

College Events :

College celebrate the annual function, alumina meet, sports meet, technical fest. also there are various blood donation camps, rallies, industrial tours have been conducted time to time.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure is decided by the himachal pradesh technical university.Programme odd semester even semester fee per annumb.tech 38,000,29,500,69,500m.tech 45,500,37,000 82,500note :- additional one time charges payable at the time of admission.nb:a) all fee & charges are payable at the beginning of each semester.b) all fees, charges & deposits are as per hp government gazette notification.common hostel chargeshostel & mess charges payable for the academic year (for hostel students only) amount (in rs.) 46,000/-note:1. the above fee and other charges shall be applicable for all students.2. revisions in hostel & mess charges will be applicable to all hostellers irrespective of their year of admission.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Scholarship has been offered to the reserved category students only. No scholarships for good students of general category. college do not have any tie-up with banks which can provide easy loans to the candidates seeking admissions.

Campus Life :

Labs, sports etc. are very good. this is the first college in hp having good machinery for labs. Overall on campus life is average for an average person seeking admission in the college.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facility was not very good. the quality of food was good during the stating years of college. But nowadays maximum of students have shifted out of the hostel because of the conditions of hostel and food.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumina network is good. Because some of our batch-mates and some students of later batches have been working as teacher or as laboratory technicians in the college and having good links with the students working outside.

Exam Structure :

Exams has been conducted by the himachal pradesh technical university. There are only end semester examination of 100 marks for each subjects. College conduct two sessional examinations which are meant to calculate the internal assessment for the students

Faculty :

Course curriculum was good. Some of the faculty members are good in teaching but most of them have been left the college nowadays. Nowadays most of the faculty members are not so much experienced and not good at teaching.

Placement Experience:

after 6th semester students are eligible for campus placements Compamies like TechMahindra, wipro,Hcl and many more visited here.The avergae package given by companies are 6-7 lakhs. highest package of our campus is of 60lakhs something. In chitkara rajpura campus highest package is 1.2 cr More than 90% of students get placed. but the condtion is that students do not have any suply and the student have maintained the attendance minimum75% in every subject My plans are too get placed in Company with good package

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is quite good . It is very relevant like we have course on thermodynamics, rigid body mechanics which is useful in mechanical engineering and there are also robotics course for all branches so that every one can know the basics of robotics . There are coding courses for everyone so that everyone can know tech field Also there are extra curricular courses which are very relevant to our daily life like Language speaking courses like french , German , english . Also our college has started have semester exchange facility available to foreign colleges.

Placement Experience:

Placement scenerio is same as the other nit colleges like highest package goes about 1cr and lowest will be 6lpa and median is. About 9lpa and overall an average placement of 13lpa . Percentage of students getting placed is 85 percent but Barch and engineering physics has lower placement in this college. Many of the student went for higher studies .my plan is to get placed after the completion of degree.

Many companies visit the college for the campus placements and the package at my time ranged between 2.5 LPA-4.2 LPA. As a fresher the package is good. As its usually the first job so package does not matter,what matters is the company you are working with. At my time the many companies visited the campus for placements.
