Excellent college for the media aspirants

JK

Remarks :

I encountered SIES when I searched for top BMM colleges in Mumbai. I read the positive reviews and was impressed. Therefore, I only opted for SIES. I have not experienced any bad aspect. The admission process was quite smooth. The college has a good curriculum for BMM and the locality is also quite fine. I read about the reviews on google and Shiksha.

Course Curriculum Overview :

As I am passionate about the entertainment and media industry, I was very much sure about opting for this course. The faculty is really helpful and they adopt a combination of tradition and digital method for teaching. The term exams were conducted on time and the difficulty level was moderate.

Internships Opportunities :

The various roles offered are content writing internship, digital marketing internship, video editing internship, graphic designing internship, etc. The stipend ranges from 5k to 15k. The internships help students get practical knowledge and on-field experience which is very necessary for survival in this competitive work environment.

Placement Experience :

The placements offers are shared with the students and they can opt for them according to their interests. The curriculum covers all the practical and theoretical knowledge which helps the students to be ready for the work environment. I am currently working as a Content Creator and I got this job because of my college's placement cell.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees are raised every year and the cost of study comes around 60 to 70k. Students are updated with scholarships and job opportunities regularly on the college WhatsApp group. The staff is open to all the queries related to jobs and helps the students to find a suitable match as per their interests and talent.

Campus Life :

There are plenty of opportunities for students to explore their interests and talent. The classes are spacious enough and well ventilated. The library has a very good ambience and enables students to increase their knowledge and productivity. SIES Vision is the annual fest that is conducted in the month of December/January every year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is not designed to combat real world. The content in the textbooks is repeated and not well written. It focuses on the theory aspect. I will also highlight that our college lacks in providing our department facilities so practical study was not carried by the teachers. We didn't had access to computer labs or had a theatre for our drama practices. Teachers would give us important notes so the exams were not difficult because questions were framed from the important notes.

From the last semester, the students become eligible for campus placement. Students should make up more than 90% of the population. As soon as I get the degree, I intend to pursue a master's degree and further my studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is really great, I love the variety of subjects from semester to semester. The exam structure is the same for every semester with 75 marks for written exams and 25 internal marks. The college abides by university rules.
