Entrance Preview :
Maharashtra HSSE was considered then. I had 92% in PCM(Physics Chem and Maths together) and qualified for B E Civil.
Course Curriculum Overview :
It was up to mark and as per Industry Standard with Good Labs and Modern Amenities. SInce more funds were available after it became NNOT, labs were further modernized and more money was pumped in to make it as per latest and industry standard with modern amenities.
Internships Opportunities :
No Idea I was not a Hosteler and was a day Scholar living in Nagpur. Have visited friends room and also ate occasionally in mess. It was a Good experience.
Placement Experience :
90% of students were placed in campus Placements for 2005 pass outs. At least for my branch, except 3-6 students, all of them were placed in IT companies and some in even public sector like ONGC, BPCL etc. Placements were equally good in other branches to.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Was really economical then and was just INR 14K a Annum out of which only 10000 INR was the basic fee and rest 4000 was additional building manitainance and few other add ons changed to all the students. It was quite economical considering period of 2005
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Not Taken any Loan from Any Bank. There is a SBI bank in campus and cater to any loan requirement needed by Students.
Campus Life :
As mentioned Above. Great Facilities, There was cricket ground where we played with seasoned ball. Basketball and Tennis court. Gymnasium and other modern facilities exclusively for students. There was also a large auditorium where shows and programs were held. Our convocation was also held there and was a great place.
Exam Structure :
Semester Pattern with option of Immediate Supplement to clear the backlogs if any to avoid loss of 6 months. Good for Student point of View. For practicals, in labs with a Viva and labs were adequately modern with good facilities. Overall, most of students were happy with the new structure.
Faculty :
Since REC to NIT transformation happened in 2002, Huge budgets were allocated and was spent too in Modernization of Labs and giving students up to date and plush facilities.
