Remarks :

This college is one of the best commerce colleges in Mumbai. The admission process had started in June. I chose this college because it provided various opportunities to an ambitious person like me. However one of the bad aspects is no campus and a little ignorance towards students' concerns.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose BCom because I am doing CA. the faculty-student ratio is 50:135. The faculty is highly qualified with master's degrees and teaches in a very innovative way. Term exams were once every 6 months and were neither too simple nor too hard.

Class Size : 135Course Fees : INR 5000 per year

Placement Experience :

Students become eligible from the 6th sem. 75% of students get placement. I have plans of opting for article placement as I am pursuing CA along with BCom. Highest avg package in rs. 3 lakh per yr. Companies like Deloitte, KPMG, PWC, E&Y have visited.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I haven't yet got any job on campus since I am in my 1st year. I don't have much idea about the fees hike policy but can say fees are affordable to every BCom student. I got financial assistance due to fee concession for girls.

Campus Life :

Podar enigma and podar moneta are annual fests. There are oceans of books on various topics available in our library. My college is known for sports. Students are divided into groups and made to participate in various activities to encourage friendships. There r a lot of clubs such as elc, french forum, hobby circle, etc.

Know what Pillai's is all about!

Course Curriculum Overview:

Bcom degree is not recognized now a days because people around take it as a simple course. But if you are really interested, you can build a career out of it. Bcom degree over a period of 3 years provides wide variety of knowledge in accounts, auditing, costing, business management, economics, advertising, computers and even taxation. All the fields of commerce are covered in this 6 Semester course. Only the thing is how students pursue it. Syllabus now has case studies for all subjects which help students get well versed with how the world beyond this walls works. It gives an idea as to how to find solutions for the problems in every field of commerce. However, I feel that the curriculum should include industry visits atleast once a year as the projects and assignments for the course are basically dependent on it. Besides this, studying is important even if you are pursuing a simple Bcom degree. I have realised that difficulty level of exams increase in every Semester

Give it a Chance better for Your Future

Placement Experience:

Many companies are going to hire students because our college is graded in A+ when we are in last year of our college.We feels so good to hear and proud moment for our college.Axis bank placements were first rolled out and many students from my class applied. The highest package was 2.5 lakh per annum and average was 1.8 lakhs per annum.20% of students are placed from our class.I planed to do MBA after the completion of this course.
