Maharashtra State Institute of hotel management and catering technology, Pune is the only government college in Pune. It's one of the best colleges in Pune one can think of taking admission. As it's a dream for many students who come to Pune or who are from Pune and inspire by the hospitality industry. As it is a government college fee here is very less compared to other colleges in Pune. Recently our college has opened a new building for degree program students. It consists of 3 fully equipped training kitchens, bakery lab, accommodation practical lab,2 training restaurants and classrooms. Facilities here are very helpful, and they guide you really well. We have a 100% placements guarantee. The bad aspects are that our college doesn't have a ground to play any sport.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Because I wanted to become a chef so I think that by choosing the best college I can fulfil my dream. Faculties are very understanding, they help students in every way. They make sure that students get maximum knowledge. Exams were conducted on time and if you study well and hard with logic it's very easy to pass any exam

Internships Opportunities :

We have industrial training in the 3rd semester which gives us a short or basic knowledge of the hospitality industry. Basically, we learn many things in this and we have to choose our specialization after that. Also, many odcs are there and college gives us odc to learn.

Placement Experience :

The campus interview starts from our last year that is 4th year. Many companies like Oberoi, Taj group and much other conduct our interview. Besides students can go to other hotels for interview. We also have training in our 3rd sem. There are 100% placements.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

As our college is the government so the Fee is 76000/- for the open category. And various scholarships are there for other categories. Compare to other private colleges our college fee structure is less. Many companies come to our college and take our campus Interview so the stipend varies from one company to another.

Campus Life :

There are so many days that are conducted like sports day in January, traditional day in February, hospitech in October, food fest in March. We have a great and huge library, we have many types of books regarding the hospitality industry. We have a projector and smartboard in all classrooms, so study becomes easy to understand.

Campus placements arent like any other college.. students go through rigorous interviews to get placed into hotels for management trainess. These management trainess then work under all the departments of the hotel for over 18 months and then decide where they would work in that hotel. I have completed my second year for now going to start third year very soon the placement interview take place in 3rd year so asking to the senior I got to know that various hotels like Taj hotel, Oberoi hotel, trident hotel and various companies like Starbuck, McDonald's, etc comes for the campus interview. HA better understanding

Placement Experience:

Students mostly becomes eligible to give campus interviews in their 5th semester and there are a lot of companies comes in our college we can its one of the best IHM for placement in whole india . All great hotel properties like marriot , hilton , ITC , Taj , oberios are constantly recruiting students from college in a daily basis they placement percentage here is almost 100%, the highest package provided by sales company this year is around 8lakhs per anuum for a HR role whoch is significantly great and for within the hotel industry it varies from 25k-30k per month which is not bad as rewards come after some years of experience, I personally want to get into oberio OCLD programs and want to train myself to be in a manegerial position soon and start my own business.

the campus placements starts from 5th semester . the compinies visited have very good name in the industry . the mostly visit are taj, hyatt, oberoi, starbucks, marriot , novotel, ITC , etc . these big brands comr=e to collage to pick up their employee. the highest package is 800000 . 85% of the students get placed by collage . i am planning to do msc in hotel managment to improve the skills even more .

Placement Experience:

After the third semester, students are further sended for campus placements. Hotels such as Taj mahal palace, The Oberoi group, Trident Nariman point, sofitel bkc, among with other properties, all the 5star properties come to approach our college for interviewing the eligible students. I'm not yet aware of the packages, but roughly, it should be 10k during internship. 100% placement is given to every eligible student. Want to work for the Oberoi group.
