Remarks :

It’s the creamy layer of all medical colleges in Assam. Good patient load, Good super-specialty with intercommunication among all departments Hands-on experience for all students, Hostel facilities for both boys, girls, and postgraduate students available. It also organizes cultural events, sports events despite students being buffed up with patients Stipend for MBBS interns highest among all states in the country. PG stipend is also good It is located in the city with both airway and railway connectivity being quite near. Official activity is hassle-free as long as basic requirements for the same are met. As long as the patients there keep the hospital clean it’s clean.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Why I took. I wanted here I got here as simple as that. Faculty are all superb understanding people communication is English, Hindi, Assamese They often use PowerPoint but in clinics, it’s with the patient himself or herself There are semester tests, Mcqs, and the professional exams

Internships Opportunities :

You are employed by the government, You have to do everything starting from Opds, emergency, and trauma, assisting in the operation, delivery in labor, Going health camps field surveys, If one has got skills and guts small minor procedures like wrist ganglion excision are allowed.

Placement Experience :

After the final year MBBS one is eligible for an internship. After clearing the internship one can either start a private practice Or join a hospital chain. There is a 100% placement guarantee. My plans to obtain a super specialty degree

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

During my admission in 2012, it was 12000 rupees With intervening exam fees for professional exams. Registration in the university. NEC scholarship was there during my tenure. Stipend during the internship was 20,820 rupees after taxes, the highest in any state.

Campus Life :

Annually it’s college foundation day, with multiple CMEs every week. Library 2 major libraries are their hilltop and near the auditorium. Both are fully loaded and updated There is also an attached library in every department. Classrooms are digital, full air-conditioned, Sports events cricket and football are regular affair, there is college week during which all required to participate in various sport events like marathons, etc. There is a literary club which was superb.

Hostel Facilities :

The room has a balcony it’s well lit, clean and the hostel is located in lush nature. Meal Veg and non-veg both It’s easy and affordable not much hassle Also, the area has many paying guests providing places. The college has many restaurants around it

I choose the course because I want to be a good surgeon. My class has approximately 150 students and each department has around 20 faculties. All the faculty are doctors, they teach us in the English language and they teach on the projector. They also give clinical knowledge in the hospital. The semester exams are conducted every 3 months and the University conducts professional mbbs exams in March.

There were final exams in 6 months and weekly tests are conducted and it is easy to pass the exam

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is the most reputed and professional course in India. As soon as we finish the internship we get a job easily. So I choose this course. All the faculties are doctors, they are experienced. They teach both theory and practical. Students were divided into small groups and sent for clinical posting in every department. Semester exams are conducted by the college and final exams are under the surveillance of the University and NMC.
